We’re looking for a detail-oriented Product Designer who loves systems, structure, and clarity. In this role, you’ll help maintain and evolve our design systems, support high-quality execution across product surfaces, and collaborate with senior designers to bring features from concept to implementation with accuracy and consistency.

This is an IC role focused on strengthening our design foundations, improving component quality, and ensuring smooth handoff to engineering. It’s ideal for someone who finds satisfaction in well-organized systems, precise specs, and scalable UI patterns.

We offer comprehensive medical and dental coverage, $50 a day grubhub budget, equity-based employment, a great culture, learning opportunities, unlimited vacation, 12 weeks paid parental leave, and we pay all employees $1,000 a year to go somewhere in the world that they've never been because of our values of human connection, empathy, and curiosity.

What You'll Do

  • Maintain, expand, and document our Figma design system, ensuring components are clean, consistent, and implementation-ready.

  • Produce clear, detailed design specifications for engineering partners to support feature development.

  • Assist senior designers in creating user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity assets.

  • Audit components, patterns, and screens regularly to identify inconsistencies or opportunities for refinement.

  • Collaborate closely with engineers to ensure components are implemented accurately and behave as intended.

  • Help promote best practices for accessibility, scalability, and visual consistency across Raya and Places.

  • Participate in design critiques, sharing feedback and offering system-level solutions to design challenges.

  •

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 2–4 years of product or UI/UX design experience with exposure to design systems and component-based design.

  • Fluency in Figma and comfort working with libraries, variants, and structured design files.

  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a methodical approach to problem solving.

  • Ability to translate requirements into clean, accurate design specs for engineering.

  • A portfolio that demonstrates UI craft, design systems work, and a clear understanding of scalable design patterns.

  • Degree in Design, HCI, or equivalent experience.

Strong Candidates May Have

  • Experience maintaining or contributing to robust design systems.

  • A strong sense of structure and organization, keeping libraries tidy, documented, and easy for the team to use.

  • A proactive approach to refinement.

  • Comfort collaborating closely with engineering, ensuring components behave as intended across devices and screen sizes.

  • A desire to help scale design, supporting smoother workflows, faster shipping, and more coherent product experiences.
