OverviewWe’re looking for a motivated and impact-oriented Product Engineer to join our small team of 5. Your primary focus will be building data pipelines and backend systems that automate and improve workflows for patients, providers, and internal operations. You will be instrumental in ensuring seamless interactions from efficient patient support and operational workflows to reliable payment processing, which are powered by the robust systems you design and implement. As a key contributor, you will partner closely with internal stakeholders and external customers, translating insights into product requirements documents that directly drive your work.

ResponsibilitiesDesign & Development
Build scalable, reliable backend systems and data pipelines for healthcare workflows that touch provider and patient data. You are expected to ship code on a daily basis alongside the rest of the team.Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with teams across Operations, Engineering, and Sales to understand workflows, uncover pain points, define automation opportunities, and ensure alignment on goals and outcomes.Rapid Prototyping
Create and iterate on functional prototypes to test ideas and refine user experience.Maintainability & Scaling
Write clean, extensible code that supports both short-term MVPs and long-term growth.
5+ years of professional software experience
Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate both technical thinking and interpersonal feedback
Interest in the U.S. healthcare system and its complexities
Systems thinking mindset with a focus on clear and performant data pipeline design and scalable backend systems
Ability to prototype quickly and refactor for production
Startup experience or worked on open source side projects
Familiarity with Python, Flask, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, PostgreSQL, React, and/or Next.js
Experience with building ETLs, scaling platforms that power backend APIs, and working with large datasets
Experience in healthcare or with EHRs and vendor integrations
Remote or hybrid work setup
