Airbnb was born in 2007 when two hosts welcomed three guests to their San Francisco home, and has since grown to over 5 million hosts who have welcomed over 2 billion guest arrivals in almost every country across the globe. Every day, hosts offer unique stays and experiences that make it possible for guests to connect with communities in a more authentic way.

The Community You Will Join:

Our Product Managers imagine the ideal experience for our community and work backwards, creating innovative products that delight our guests and hosts. They deeply understand the needs of our users and translate these into a strategy that combines strong product thinking and deep research. They partner with talented cross-functional team members across engineering, design, supply, analytics, data science, and more, leading teams to execute a shared vision. You will be joining the HostTools team, working closely with Supply, Design, Engineering, Finance, Analytics, Trust & Safety, and Fraud teams.

The Difference You Will Make:

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead Airbnb Setup improvements and optimization initiatives across Airbnb Homes, Services, and Experiences. In this pivotal role, you'll redefine the host onboarding experience and make it seamless for anyone to become a successful host on Airbnb.

You'll drive product strategy that improves growth and conversion of our host onboarding funnels, directly impacting new active listings and first-time booked listings. A Typical Day:

  • Lead the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Airbnb Setup across Homes, Services, and Experiences, driving key business outcomes including funnel conversion, new active listings, and first-time booked listings.
  • Design, execute, and analyze A/B tests to optimize conversion throughout the setup funnel, establishing rapid experimentation frameworks that enable quick iteration and learning.
  • Champion host empathy by deeply understanding the motivations and pain points of new hosts through qualitative research including user interviews, usability studies, and journey mapping.
  • Partner closely with Design to create intuitive, delightful experiences that reduce friction and help new hosts onboard successfully.
  • Collaborate with Supply teams on high-impact host acquisition and activation strategies, and with Finance to understand unit economics, impact of changes, and ROI of features.
  • Work with Engineering to understand technical feasibility and trade-offs, and partner with Trust & Safety and Fraud teams to ensure seamless integration.
  • Define goals and success with clearly measurable objectives and key results, building deep understanding of user behavior through quantitative analysis and translating insights into product improvements.

Your Expertise:

  • 8+ years of product management experience, ideally in consumer onboarding, growth, or conversion optimization.
  • Proven track record of driving funnel optimization and improving conversion rates through experimentation and data-driven decision making.
  • Strong design sensibility and experience partnering closely with design teams to create user-centered experiences.
  • Demonstrated success building cross-functional and executive leadership alignment across engineering, design, analytics, and operations teams.
  • Experience working on consumer products with marketplace dynamics on a global scale.
  • Excited to drive execution across large cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Desire to do individual contributor product management work with a focus on rapid experimentation and iteration.
