Summary of Role:

Product Manager for CPU IP and Custom Silicon will define and drive the strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle of processor IP solutions tailored for aerospace and defense (A&D) applications. This role bridges sales, customers, engineering, and business teams to deliver high-reliability, secure, and standards-compliant CPU IP that meets the demanding requirements of mission-critical systems. The ideal candidate combines deep semiconductor/IP knowledge with strong market insight into A&D platforms and procurement environments.

Essential Responsibilities:

Product Definition, Strategy & Roadmap

  • Define and drive A&D requirements for CPU IP, multi-year roadmap, and portfolio strategy to the IP BU covering performance and certification requirements.

  • Define and drive A&D requirements for Custom Silicon, multi-year roadmap, and portfolio strategy to the Custom Silicon Bub covering performance and certification requirements

  • Identify market opportunities across avionics, space, radar, secure communications, and embedded defense systems.

  • Translate customer and regulatory requirements into clear product requirements and differentiated value propositions.

Customer & Market Engagement

  • Serve as the voice of the customer; engage directly with prime contractors, government customers, and ecosystem partners through Sales and respective BUs.

  • Support Sales in customer pursuits, RFP/RFI responses, and technical positioning.

  • Conduct competitive analysis and market sizing to guide investment decisions.

Compliance & Quality

  • Ensure products meet relevant standards (e.g., DO-254, ISO 26262 where applicable, safety/security frameworks, export controls).

  • Partner with quality and compliance teams to support certification and customer audits.

Go-to-Market & Lifecycle Management

  • Develop positioning, messaging, and collateral for CPU IP offerings.

  • Support pricing strategy, licensing models, and customer negotiations.

  • Manage product lifecycle including obsolescence planning and long-term support strategies common in A&D programs.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Work closely with CPU architects, silicon engineering, software teams, and program management.

  • Influence without authority across global teams and external partners.

  • Provide regular updates to executive leadership on product performance and market trends.

Other Responsibilities:

· Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field.

  • 5–10+ years of experience in semiconductor, CPU/IP, or custom silicon product management (or equivalent technical leadership).

  • Experience serving aerospace, defense, space, or other high-reliability markets.

  • Familiarity with export controls (ITAR/EAR) and long product lifecycle requirements.

  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and executive audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with safety-critical or mission-critical systems.

  • Knowledge of radiation-hardened or high-reliability design techniques.

  • Background working with defense primes or government programs.

  • Understanding of security architectures and trusted computing.

  • Familiarity with RISC-V CPU IP

Expected Salary Range

$85,000.00 - $146,000.00

The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
