Raya is building a better social internet. Our mission is to be the best platform in the world for high-quality, trusted, authentic connection. We bring together a curated global community and create an elevated experience where members can discover and make meaningful connections they can’t find elsewhere, built around trusted recommendations and our core values of trust, creativity, and reciprocity.

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to join our Core Membership Experience team, owning critical parts of the member lifecycle with a particular focus on payments. Member Experience owns the journey from application and onboarding through activation, subscriptions, renewal, and reactivation. This role will own the experiences that turn accepted applicants into members and make it seamless for members to start, manage, and reactivate their membership, with payments sitting at the center of that journey.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of product management experience building consumer subscription products, with deep experience in iOS payments and subscriptions, including Apple StoreKit and third-party payment providers such as Stripe. We are looking for a hands-on product manager who enjoys getting into the details, works closely with engineering, design, and data, and takes ownership from identifying a problem through shipping and measuring the solution.

We offer comprehensive medical and dental coverage, $50 a day food delivery budget, equity based employment, a great culture, learning opportunities, unlimited vacation, 12 weeks paid parental leave, and we pay all employees $1,000 a year to go somewhere in the world that they’ve never been because of our values of human connection, empathy, and curiosity.

Responsibilities

  • Own key parts of the membership lifecycle end to end, including onboarding, activation, payments, subscriptions, and reactivation

  • Develop a deep understanding of our membership and payment funnels, using data to identify opportunities, diagnose issues, and improve conversion and reliability

  • Build and evolve payment experiences across Apple in-app purchases and third-party payment providers

  • Proactively identify problems and opportunities across the member journey and drive them toward resolution with a high degree of autonomy

  • Own the roadmap and execution for your product area, from problem definition and prioritization through launch and iteration

  • Lead a cross-functional team across engineering, design, and data, creating clarity, making tradeoffs, and driving work forward

Requirements

  • 4+ years of product management experience, including significant experience leading the day-to-day work of cross-functional engineering teams

  • Experience owning consumer subscription products and the funnels that drive activation, conversion, retention, or reactivation

  • Deep production experience with Apple StoreKit payments and subscriptions for an iOS consumer product

  • Production experience with third-party payments and subscriptions, ideally Stripe, for a B2C subscription product

  • Strong technical and analytical fluency, including experience working with engineers on complex payment systems and using funnel data to diagnose problems and measure impact

  • Proven ability to own complex products from strategy through detailed execution and consistently deliver on commitments

  • A bias toward action, strong ownership mentality, and willingness to get deep into the details rather than operate a layer above the work
