POSITION SUMMARY: The Product Manager is a strategic, execution-focused leader responsible for the overall integrity, lifecycle management, and innovation of the barre3 omni-channel class products. This role requires a balance of movement expertise, strategic development, quality control, and deep analytical skills to ensure a cohesive, high-quality, and market-competitive experience across all studio and digital formats. This position is a critical driver for achieving Studio Profitability First and Optimizing the Omni-channel Journey as defined in the 3-Year Strategic Plan.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Strategic Product Lifecycle & Innovation
  • Product Evolution & Heritage: Strategically evolve barre3's classes to clearly deliver a distinct mindful approach, while remaining anchored to the brand's fitness heritage.
  • Competitive Analysis & Expansion: Conduct ongoing competitive analysis to identify market gaps and product differentiation opportunities, directly supporting the plan to Expand Product Offerings and secure Barre3's position as a Leader in Wellness.
  • Product Definition & Integrity: Own the Playbook Management process, ensuring the technical integrity and official guidance for certification standards across all class types. Drive revisions based on ongoing product strategy and innovation.
  • Program Management: Lead all project management efforts related to class product innovation, prop development, and special projects while ensuring adherence to defined timelines and stakeholder collaboration.
2. Omni-Channel Execution & Consistency (Optimizing the Customer Journey)
  • Seamless Experience: Directly own the seamless transition and consistency between the in-studio class experience and the digital product, ensuring the customer experience is Easy and Seamless—truly one brand experience.
  • Template Development & Standardization: Systematically develop, test, and launch in-studio templates to ensure fresh and standardized content for the Franchise fleet in alignment with the Product Strategy.
  • Digital Content Integrity: Conduct thorough video reviews and quality assurance of all digital class content (e.g., streaming classes, training modules), verifying sequencing alignment and adherence to the official barre3 playbook to ensure the highest standard of product integrity.
3. Training Collaboration & Product Quality Control
  • Adoption Collaboration: Collaborate directly with the Training team to ensure all training programs, certifications, and educational content effectively drive high-quality product adoption fleet-wide.
  • Quality Benchmarking: Partner with the Training team to establish clear, measurable quality benchmarks and audit criteria for class execution, supporting the goal of Exceptional + Relevant Studio Classes & Experience.
  • Training Program Alignment: Provide the Training team with all necessary technical, movement, and strategic guidance to manage the evolution of comprehensive Training Programs for all class offerings.
4. Data & Performance Management
  • Product Usage KPIs: Define, measure, and analyze product usage KPIs (e.g., Digital Class Completion Rate, Feature Adoption Rate) for digital classes to understand user engagement and guide feature improvements, supporting the core mandate of Leading with Data.
  • Stakeholder Alignment: Rigorously leverage data and analytics to communicate product performance, align cross-functional stakeholders, and drive data-driven feature and design decisions.
  • Deep Expertise: Maintain deep expertise in movement and the barre3 methodology to serve as the ultimate resource for product questions and technical integrity.

Teaching Parameters for Product Team Members

The Product Team is instrumental in driving Studio Profitability by Securing our Position as a Leader in Wellness, powering Industry-Leading Studio Economics, and Optimizing the Omnichannel Journey. To maintain this standard, in-studio teaching is both a core responsibility and a vital touchpoint for product innovation.

The following parameters outline the expectations for the Product Team:

Full Time (Salaried) Product Team Members

  • Teaching Requirement: Maintain a minimum of 3 classes per week to support ongoing product development and quality control. Pick up additional classes as needed to support near-term goals, product launches, or specific deadlines.
  • Compensation (Core Hours): Classes taught during standard business hours (8 am – 5 pm) are considered part of salaried responsibilities; no additional per-class compensation will be paid. 
  • Compensation (Outside Hours): Classes taught during early morning, evening and weekend blocks will be compensated at the established studio rate.
  • Scheduling: The teaching schedule must prioritize Product Team collaboration, meeting attendance, and general availability for core team priorities.
  • Studio Role: Your studio commitments must not interfere with your full-time responsibilities at the Support Center. Written Manager approval is required before accepting or maintaining a studio role beyond that of an instructor.

Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)

I. Franchise Consistency & Quality

  • Product Consistency Score (Studio Audits): Average quality/adherence score from field audits against the Playbook (Measures product integrity).
  • Template Adoption Rate: % of franchise fleet utilizing the official class templates within 30 days of release (Measures compliance/enablement).

II. Time-to-Market & Efficiency

  • Time-to-Market (TTM): Time from Product Strategy approval to full Franchise Fleet implementation/Digital Launch (Measures development efficiency).

III. Product Value & Engagement

  • Digital Class Completion Rate: % of digital classes started that are completed (Measures digital class stickiness and value).

Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Alignment with barre3 Core Values: Practice Authenticity, Stronger Together, Love of Learning, Give Generously, Make It Happen
  • 5+ years in Fitness/Wellness, with at least 2 years in a corporate Product or Program Management role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Business, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Project Management software (Asana/Monday), Data Analytics tools (Tableau/Excel), and Video Review platforms.
  • A passion for mindful, inclusive movement.
