About the Role

We’re seeking a highly strategic and customer-centric Product Lead to spearhead product definition, prioritization, and positioning for our growing portfolio of power solutions. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between customer needs, competitive market dynamics, and internal technical execution — turning insights into clear, differentiated product direction and value. You’ll work cross-functionally to define what we build next, why it matters, and how we communicate its value both internally and externally.

Responsibilities:

As a Product Lead at Critical Loop, you will:

  • Conduct Competitive Analysis
Regularly evaluate the competitive landscape, identify trends, strengths/weaknesses, and opportunities; inform product strategy and differentiation.

  • Consolidate Customer Requests into Buildable Features
Gather and synthesize customer feedback, support requests, and use cases to define clear, buildable product features and requirements.

  • Translate Technical Features into Customer Value
Collaborate with engineering and design teams to understand technical capabilities and articulate how features deliver customer value and solve real problems.

  • Create Spec Sheets and Product Collateral
Draft detailed product specifications, user stories, requirements documents, and materials that support both internal development and external positioning.

  • Synthesize Customer Input into Product Strategy
Conduct customer interviews, feedback sessions, and other discovery work to form product strategy recommendations tied to business impact.

  • Positioning Product & Capabilities
Define what is truly differentiated about our product offerings, craft messaging frameworks, and provide guidance on how to frame positioning for customers, partners, and sales/marketing.

  • Capabilities Strategize Pricing & Value Capture
Conceptualize pricing approaches, analyze means of capturing value through pricing models, and evaluate how pricing compares to competitive offerings — balancing long-term customer value and retention.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of product management or equivalent experience ideally in energy, technology, or hardware/software industries.

  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated experience in competitive research, customer discovery/interviews, and feature prioritization

  • Proven ability to write clear product specs, requirements, and user stories

  • Excellent communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts into customer benefits

  • Demonstrated strategic thinking with experience shaping product positioning and pricing models

Preferred Requirements:

  • Background in distributed energy, microgrids, renewable energy space, or power management solutions.

  • Experience in early-stage startups or emerging technology companies.

  • Comfort operating with limited resources and driving creative, scrappy marketing programs.
