🚂 About Pulley

Pulley's mission is to make it easier for anyone to start a company. We believe more founders should exist—and they should spend their time building, not managing the complexity of equity. Pulley helps founders understand, operate, and optimize their ownership from day one.

We're a high-performing, product-driven team building the next generation of equity and business management tools in an AI-native world. Over 4,000 companies rely on us today, including Linear, Runway, Fathom, and Roam. Our growth has been entirely organic, and we're scaling the team to meet accelerating demand.

🌟 About the Role

We're hiring a Product Marketing Manager to help shape and drive how our products are understood, positioned, and brought to market. This is a core individual contributor role for someone who can own messaging and go-to-market for a meaningful area of the product, partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders, and turn customer and market insight into clear, compelling narratives.

Product Marketing plays a critical role in how we grow—helping customers understand our value, helping Sales win deals, and helping Product build what matters most. In this role you'll partner with Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Growth to drive launches, create GTM strategies, and conduct research that drives adoption and revenue impact. You’ll have real ownership, visibility, and the opportunity to make major contributions to Pulley’s success.

🛠 What You'll Do

  • Own messaging and positioning for your product area or customer segment
  • Partner with Product Managers to deeply understand the product, roadmap, and customer needs; produce documentation and assets to share your understanding internally and externally
  • Lead product launches and feature announcements end-to-end, orchestrating cross-functional execution across Sales, Growth, and CS
  • Develop customer-facing narratives, including website copy, product pages, launch assets, and lifecycle messaging
  • Create sales enablement materials including pitch decks, one-pagers, battle cards, click-through demos, and competitive assets
  • Design, run, and synthesize customer and market research to uncover insights that inform positioning and GTM opportunities
  • Partner with revenue teams to ensure messaging consistency across website, ads, lifecycle marketing, and email
  • Track and communicate launch performance, customer feedback, and competitive changes

🙌 What You Bring

Experience

  • 3–6 years of experience, with 2–3 years in Product Marketing or a closely related role (e.g., Product Management, Customer Success, Sales Engineering, Growth Marketing, Competitive Intelligence)
  • Experience working with product teams and translating product details into clear, compelling customer communications
  • Direct customer-facing experience gained through conducting interviews, attending sales calls, or providing CS/implementation support
  • Experience delivering meaningful contributions to product launches or major feature rollouts such as enablement, messaging, pitch decks, or campaigns

Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; exceptional ability to turn complex ideas into clear, customer-friendly stories
  • Solid understanding of customer personas, buying journeys, and sales motions
  • Strong collaborative nature and relationship-building across stakeholders; deep understanding of the various responsibilities of different internal teams
  • Strong self-management skills to own timelines, feature release work-backs, and project prioritization
  • Data-driven mindset; complete comfort deriving insights from multiple known sources of data, as well as ideating new methods for obtaining helpful data
  • Familiarity with G-Suite, Notion, Figma, Slack, HubSpot, Google Analytics, Wynter, and Gong

Mindset

  • Intense curiosity about customers, markets, and motivations, not just features
  • Bias towards ownership; dependable and self-motivated
  • Thoughtful, detail-oriented, and precise

Bonus

  • Strong analytical/research background (STEM degree is a plus)
  • Experience in B2B SaaS or high-growth technology companies
  • Track record of success targeting multiple industries or personas
  • Understanding of startup finance and equity
  • Keen eye for all things design & comfort working with design agencies

Why work at Pulley?

  • We’ve moved beyond early-stage uncertainty - Our product has traction and we’re building on a solid foundation, but we’re still early enough in our journey where your work will directly shape the company’s trajectory as we scale.
  • Make it easier for anyone to start a company - Founders turn bold ideas into reality - building things that might not exist otherwise. Starting a company is hard enough. Managing equity should be. Pulley exists to make equity management simpler, smarter, and more accessible for founders from day one.
  • Work with a high-performing and passionate team - We value the concept of stunning colleagues and we’re thoughtful about creating a team that is excited about building a great company together. Here are our operating principles:
    • Principles over playbooks - Understand why strategies succeed or fail by asking questions. When you know the ‘why’, you can adapt, innovate, and find new paths to success.
    • Momentum over speed - Find the best path to deliver value. Build momentum to balance the short term wins vs longer term success.
    • Good taste over data - Take bold bets and trust your instincts to find the unlikely bet.
    • Ideas over egos - Let the best idea win, no matter where it comes from. Cultivate an environment where everyone feels empowered to speak up.
    • Gladiator over spectator - Execute; don’t just critique or ideate. You’re the one putting in the work, sweating the details, and driving for results.
    • Conviction over consensus - Have the courage to back your ideas strongly, even when they defy the status quo. Disagree and commit.
    • Proactive over passive - Drive your own clarity and pull for context. Ask questions, dig deeper, and grasp the full picture.

💚 Benefits

  • Competitive salary and equity
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance
  • Unlimited PTO + Winter holiday break
  • Parental leave
  • Generous stipends for WFH, learning, wellness, and AI tools
  • 401(k) match (US) / Pension match (Canada)

Annual Salary Range: $140,000 - $165,000

The range above reflects the typical salary range for this role. The final offer will depend on factors such as your experience, interview performance, level, and other considerations assessed during the hiring process.
