About the Role:
In this role, you will be part of a team of product and technical marketing professionals responsible for the content, positioning, messaging and positioning, and go-to-market (GTM) strategy of ControlUp solutions. You will create both value-based and technical sales content, contribute to thought leadership, launch new solutions, and help with opening up new market opportunities for ControlUp and our partners.
Attention to detail and an eye for quality, along with the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into benefits are crucial. You will collaborate closely across the marketing organization and will work with product management and field sales teams to identify and prioritize messaging, tools, and content to support sales and product launch processes.
What You’ll Own:
- Develop and iterate product positioning and messaging that differentiates ControlUp DEX solutions in the market.
- Be responsible for planning and executing product launches aligned with a tiered launch strategy.
- Content Creation – use your domain knowledge, technical expertise, top-tier writing skills, and understanding of our target personas to create specific content to help customers learn about, select, and be advocates for ControlUp.
- Attend, contribute and present at ControlUp field marketing events – including working on messaging, themes, creating and delivering booth demos, presentations and briefing sales teams on how to effectively follow up on leads generated at events.
- Sales enablement – create and maintain content to educate the field on product capabilities that support the product use case.
- Market and competitive intelligence – understand the market landscape and how to competitively position the product. Serve as the voice of the customer to the internal product-focused teams to reinforce solving customer challenges.
- Cross-team collaboration – This role will work with engineering, product, and the sales teams to deliver slide decks, tutorials, eBooks, demos, videos, and other collateral that align with our go-to-market initiatives.
- Content evangelism – this role will contribute to educating sales and SE teams on the availability and usability of the content. It is especially important to keep content up-to-date and consistently discoverable.
What You’ll Bring:
- 5+ years of B2B software product or technical marketing experience with at least 2 years of experience related to End-User Computing (such as Citrix, VMware Horizon and Microsoft AVD) or Unified Endpoint Management (UEM), desktop solutions.
- A thorough understanding of relevant technologies and curiosity and passion to always learn more about how things work.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to build end-to-end plans and manage execution across cross-functional teams.
- You have excellent written and oral communication/presentation skills including the ability to create and deliver effective presentations.
- Product marketing writing experience, especially in creating content such as sales enablement, blogs, emails, web copy.
- The ability to drive technical content-related projects to completion independently and in a timely matter.
- Excellent inter-personal skills and successfully build relationships with geographically dispersed colleagues and teams.
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field OR equivalent work experience.
- Having some experience with video editing and graphics design is a plus.
