Clarivate is seeking a Product Sales Manager (Account Executive) to join our Academia & Government team and help shape the future of research and discovery. In this role, you’ll leverage your deep product expertise and proven sales skills to identify new growth opportunities, build strong relationships with academic and government institutions, and deliver tailored solutions that meet their unique needs. What will you be doing in this role?...

  • Achieve sales targets for assigned products and territories, ensuring alignment with Clarivate’s overall business objectives
  • Identify and support new business opportunities both independently and in collaboration with Account Managers, driving growth and expanding market presence
  • Leverage product expertise to design and present value-added solutions, aiming to enhance deal value and address customer needs effectively
  • Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline in collaboration with Account Managers, aiming to enhance deal size and speed up sales cycles through effective sales and negotiation strategies
  • Establish and nurture strong customer relationships through regular communication, exceptional service, and proactive problem-solving to ensure ongoing customer loyalty and satisfaction
  • Collaborate closely with Account Managers and other commercial teams to contribute to product sales planning and execute sales strategies that maximize Clarivate's footprint
  • Build and present reports outlining current and proposed activities, customer interactions, pipeline status, accurate sales forecasts, and closing timelines
  • Consult with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective sales campaigns and new business activities
  • Continuously acquire and develop relevant market, industry, and product knowledge to enhance commercial effectiveness and support sales success

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments…

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • 5+ years of SaaS sales experience (enterprise software technology solutions)
  • 3+ years of experience working with Enterprise Sales methodologies Sandler, Challenger, SPIN, Solution, etc.

It would be great if you also had…

  • Higher education sales experience
  • Educational Technology sales experience

You will be working with not only our team of product sales managers and solution consultants, but also a wider network of account-focused team members based throughout the region to support you in growing revenue and contributing to revenue for the accounts in your territory.

Compensation - US Only

The expected base salary for this position is $88,000 - $110,000 USD per year.  This role is eligible for (incentive or bonus) earnings.  Individual pay is based upon experience, education, skill and ability, expertise, and relevant factors. 

In addition to a competitive remuneration package, you will be eligible to participate in a benefits package that includes medical, dental, prescription drug, life insurance, 401k with match, long term disability coverage, vacation, sick time, volunteer time, discount programs, and many more. 

Hours of Work

  • Full-time permanent position primarily working core business hours in your time zone, with flexibility to adjust to various global time zones as needed
  • Remote position ideally based in CA, AZ, CO, WA, NV
  • Travel up to 50% across the western portion of the United States
