Position Purpose: Oversees daily operations of the production control activities in an IT environment. Develops and administers policies and procedures for ensuring the flow of data and operations between or within departments.
  • Manages daily operations of production control activities for systems software and hardware, data and applications
  • Works with product teams to define, architect and implement tools to enhance availability, scalability, cost-efficiency, and performance of IT environment
  • Ensures capacity planning for IT environment and implements performance metrics and event-driven alerting
  • Provides second-level production support and maintain system management tools
  • Participates in the disaster recovery processes/exercises and ensure preventive maintenance activities are carried out to maintain business continuity
  • Ensures that major revisions to applications in production are passed after thorough testing and proper documentation according to change management and software development life cycle
  • Recommends suitable software solutions and ideas for automating tasks of daily operations
  • Documents standard operating procedures and sharing frequent progress reports/ updates with required stakeholders
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards

Schedule:

Sunday - Wednesday

4 days with 10 hour shift
2pm - 12amCST

Education/Experience: A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science) and requires 2 – 4 years of related experience. Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position.
IT operations and administration required.
Managed health care environment and related industry regulations required.
Technical Skills:

  • One or more of the following skills are desired.
  • Knowledge of Other: software lifecycles and practices

Soft Skills:

  • Intermediate - Seeks to acquire knowledge in area of specialty
  • Intermediate - Ability to identify basic problems and procedural irregularities, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Intermediate - Ability to work independently

Pay Range: $30.58 - $55.09 per hour

Centene offers a comprehensive benefits package including: competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law, including full-time or part-time status.  Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives. Benefits may be subject to program eligibility.
