Job Title: Production Engineering Manager

Job Description:

As an Production Engineering Manager, your primary responsibility will be to improve the productivity of engineers, create effective reporting mechanisms, and ensure timely and budget-conscious completion of work within Production Management Engineering team. You will play a crucial role in driving operational excellence, fostering collaboration, and enabling efficient project management. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership abilities, and exceptional organisational skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Improve the productivity and efficiency of engineering teams through process optimisation, automation, and resource allocation.
  • Develop and maintain effective reporting mechanisms to provide accurate and timely performance metrics and progress updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor project timelines, resource utilisation, and budget allocation to ensure work is completed within established schedules and financial constraints.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to identify pain points, streamline workflows, and implement process enhancements for improved efficiency.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and cross-training among team members to enhance skill sets and operational resilience.
  • Drive a culture of accountability, ensuring team members take ownership of their deliverables and meet project milestones.
  • Collaborate with product managers and other internal stakeholders to align priorities and ensure engineering efforts support business objectives.
  • Identify and proactively address potential risks and issues, minimising their impact on project timelines and deliverables.
  • Support incident management and response processes, working with engineering teams to minimise downtime and improve incident resolution time.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in SDLC and related fields, applying new knowledge to enhance team performance.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive team culture, promoting diversity and inclusion within the Production Management department.
  • Collaborate with HR in supporting recruitment efforts, including defining job requirements and participating in candidate interviews.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external vendors and service providers, ensuring effective partnerships and service-level agreements.
  • Regularly report to management on team performance, project status, and improvement initiatives.
