Manufacturing is responsible for cost of production and maintenance activities including process improvement, supply chain management, quality assurance, employee safety and engagement, and environmental commitment.
Production Operation operates light-duty bench- or floor-type machine tools and automation equipment. May set up machining machines and make adjustments, and perform maintenance on machines. Checks work using prescribed gauges, jigs and fixtures to measure close tolerances. Some machines may be numerically controlled. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
Job Summary
The Supervisor, Production Operations is a people management position at the facility responsible for the operations of multiple production lines within a production facility. This job manages the daily operations of a facility to ensure smooth operations of the facilities.
Responsibilities

  • Manages resources and shuffles operation staff as needed to ensure production schedule needs meet or exceed the required level.
  • Approves vacations, timecards, payroll, performance reviews, and general people management.
  • Develops direct reports in technical and people management skills.
  • Leads process improvement projects as needed.
  • Defines process improvement opportunities based off of reports and feedback from direct reports.
  • Provide overall leadership, direction, coordination, and performance evaluation for production teams.
  • Manage employee schedules to ensure adequate coverage in alignment with client contracts and company policies.
  • Conduct time studies and capacity analyses to forecast future staffing requirements.
  • Hold one‑on‑one performance discussions with Senior Leads and Coordinators, documenting results and providing actionable feedback.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, delivering coaching and training in customer service, case resolution, and database management.
  • Design and implement industrialization solutions from concept through production, ensuring robust, scalable processes across the value chain.
  • Apply Lean manufacturing tools and continuous improvement methodologies to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and optimize cycle times.
  • Perform root‑cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to eliminate defects and improve product quality.
  • Lead and support VIP initiatives focused on process improvement.
  • Contribute to innovation and the adoption of advanced manufacturing technologies, including automation, composites, and additive manufacturing.
  • Provide technical support to production teams and drive structured problem‑solving activities on the shop floor.

Qualifications

  • 4-8 years of experience, preferred in manufacturing processes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related in Industrial Engineering field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
  • Utilize Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, word), (Power BI and PRMS or similar systems) preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of production systems, including line balancing.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, including experience with root‑cause analysis and CAPA.
  • Project management experience with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a global, cross‑functional environment.

Anticipated salary range: $70,400 - $90,450 annually
