Kindred Bravely is looking for a detail-driven Production & Sourcing Manager, Baby/Toddler Apparel & Accessories to help us expand our baby line, STORQ.

About Us

Kindred Bravely exists to make early motherhood feel a little less overwhelming and a lot more supported. Trusted by millions of moms since 2015, Kindred Bravely thoughtfully designs award-winning maternity, postpartum, breastfeeding, and baby essentials that offer unparalleled comfort and intuitive function, allowing moms to feel supported, empowered, and more like themselves.

The Opportunity

The Production & Sourcing Manager leads the end-to-end development and commercialization of STORQ baby/toddler accessories and apparel —from concept through bulk production—by driving calendar adherence, cost targets, quality standards, and cross-functional alignment. This role partners closely with Design, Merchandising, Technical Design, Sourcing, and global vendors to deliver innovative, high-quality, margin-positive products on time and in full.

This position serves as a key cross-functional partner across Design, Merchandising, Planning, and Finance, ensuring product development and production decisions are fully integrated into broader business strategy, seasonal planning, and margin goals. This role will work closely with the Director of Production & Sourcing to align sourcing and development strategy with company growth objectives and drive high-impact decision-making across the organization.

We Are Looking For Someone Who…

  • Is a business owner. You think beyond sample milestones and understand how development and production decisions impact margin, quality, and long-term brand reputation.
  • Is hands-on. You are comfortable diving into T&A calendars, BOM reviews, costing negotiations, and vendor communications while maintaining a strategic lens.
  • Is a strong cross-functional partner. You build collaborative relationships across Design, Merchandising, Technical Design, and Planning to keep all stakeholders aligned and moving forward.
  • Is innovative. You proactively explore new materials, construction methods, and vendor capabilities to improve product quality and cost efficiency.
  • Is a creative problem solver. You anticipate production and development risks early and bring actionable recovery plans to the table.
  • Is highly organized and detail-driven. You maintain strong systems for tracking calendars, approvals, and deliverables across multiple categories and overlapping seasons.
  • Is calm under pressure. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and communicate clearly and consistently, even when navigating complex challenges.
  • Is one step ahead. You proactively identify risks, escalate early, and drive solutions before issues impact timelines or margin.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Product Development

  • Own the development lifecycle for STORQ baby/toddler accessories and apparel, ensuring all styles meet design intent, cost goals, quality standards, FTC and CPSIA compliance regulations, and seasonal timelines.
  • Manage proto, fit, and photoshoot sample development, ensuring timely delivery of samples and clear communication of revisions.
  • Partner with Design and Merchandising to evaluate materials, trims, and construction options that balance aesthetics, performance, and cost.
  • Lead cross-functional milestone meetings (Line Review, Proto Review, Costing Review) and ensure all deliverables are met.
  • Analyze development and/or production risks early and propose actionable solutions to maintain calendar integrity.
  • Oversee lab dips, strike-offs, artwork approvals, and material testing to ensure compliance with brand standards and regulatory requirements.

Production Management

  • Own seasonal T&A calendars from Proto samples through bulk delivery; proactively identify delays and drive recovery plans with vendors.
  • Manage bulk PO execution, ensuring accurate BOMs, approved materials, and on-time production starts.
  • Review and negotiate bulk costing, leveraging historical data, vendor capabilities, and margin targets.
  • Ensure all testing, compliance documentation (CPSIA and FTC), and quality checkpoints are completed prior to shipment.
  • Support wear tests and product performance evaluations to drive continuous improvement.

Vendor & Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Build strong, accountable relationships with global vendors, mills, and trim suppliers.
  • Evaluate vendor performance across quality, cost, communication, and on-time delivery; recommend sourcing shifts as needed.
  • Work closely with Planning and Merchandising to align development decisions with demand forecasts and margin goals.
  • Communicate clearly and consistently across internal teams to maintain transparency and alignment.

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Fashion Design, Merchandising, Product Development, or Business).
  • 5-7 years of experience in product development and production - with a focus on baby/children’s accessories (bags, home textiles, bath accessories, etc); DTC or fast-paced brand experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of construction, materials, trims, and manufacturing processes across accessories categories and apparel
  • Knowledge of FTC and CPSIA compliance requirements, and can provide guidance on design and production implications
  • Proven ability to manage complex calendars, multiple categories, and overlapping seasons.
  • Skilled in cost engineering, vendor negotiation, and margin optimization.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Proficient in PLM, Excel/Sheets, Google Workspace, and project management tools.
  • Experience working with overseas vendors and navigating timezone-driven workflows.

Why Join Kindred Bravely?

  • Be part of a mission-driven company that is making a meaningful difference in the lives of moms.
  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • Fully remote team with a collaborative work environment.

Benefits

  • Employer-sponsored Medical, Dental, Vision as well as voluntary benefits including life insurance, Critical Illness Insurance, and Healthcare and Dependent Care FSAs.
  • 4% Retirement matching after 6 months of employment.
  • Paid parental leave program after 1 year.
