The YMCA of Central Texas is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team of professionals as an Aquatics Program Coordinator for the Twin Lakes Family YMCA.

The Aquatics Coordinator provides a multitude of administrative and supervisory duties that support the aquatics department, while professionally interacting with employees, management, members, and other business associates in an outgoing and courteous manner. Under the director of the Aquatics Director, the Aquatics Coordinator will support the mission, purpose, and goals of the YMCA, while performing the essential duties and responsibilities listed below:

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for daily operations of aquatics facility including supervision of staff and creating schedules
  • Assist with opening and closing, attendance tracking
  • Run in service training for the branch per association guidelines
  • Ensure completion of all necessary reports and documents including incident and accident reports
  • Actively and enthusiastically support the Branch and Association goals and direction through effective completion of tasks and actively promoting and operating programs
  • Filling in as needed for lifeguard and/or swim instructor shifts
  • Assure safe and secure facility

Skills/ Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED, 6 college credit hours or 24 months of qualifying experience
  • Must possess a valid Texas Drivers' License and valid insurance
  • Lifeguard certification required
  • American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor or YMCA Lifeguard preferred
  • Water Safety Instructor or YMCA Swim Lesson Instructor preferred
  • Must pass reference checks, pre-employment drug screen, background check and sex offender registry check

Pay Rate: $43,000 to $48,000/year
