The Program Director leads the design and management of GPS programs, ensuring effective delivery and continuous improvement while supervising the Program Manager(s).
Program Director (English and/or Spanish)About the Role
GPS Group Peer Support is seeking a highly experienced Program Director to own and lead the full system of GPS programs, including Facilitator Training, Certification, and Support Groups.
This role is responsible for program system design, performance, and outcomes. You will build, improve, and oversee the structures that ensure programs run consistently, efficiently, and at high quality across all cohorts and formats.
This is a system ownership and coordination role.
Core System OwnershipThe Program Director owns the program layer of systems, including:
- Program architecture (how training, certification, and support groups connect)
- Program pathways (participant journey across programs)
- Program delivery models (structure, sequencing, formats)
- Program SOPs and standards (how programs are designed to run)
- Program quality assurance systems (consistency, fidelity in delivery)
- Program capacity planning (cohorts, staffing models, scaling)
- Design, own, and continuously improve all GPS program systems
- Ensure alignment across all programs (training, certification, support groups)
- Oversee program performance, timelines, and delivery outcomes
- Supervise Program Manager(s) and ensure strong execution
- Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and risks—and implement solutions quickly
- Ensure fidelity to the GPS model while scaling programs
- Collaborate with leadership on program growth and strategic initiatives
- Programs run consistently, on time, and without last-minute issues
- Clear systems are in place and used by the team (not dependent on individuals)
- Program pathways are organized, logical, and easy to follow
- Problems are identified and resolved before impacting delivery
- Program Manager(s) operate independently with strong accountability
- Continuous improvements are implemented—not just identified
- Minimal need for escalation—this role owns and resolves issues directly
- Program scheduling (Zoom, calendars)
- Session logistics and materials preparation
- Participant communications or inbox
- LMS, CRM, or data/reporting systems
- Certification standards or evaluation decisions
- Strong system thinker with the ability to design and manage complex workflows
- Proven project/program management experience in multi-program environments
- High ownership mindset with strong decision-making ability
- Proactive, fast-moving, and solutions-oriented
- Strong leadership and accountability management skills
- 5+ years in program leadership, operations, or project management
- Demonstrated experience owning and improving systems
- Experience managing multiple concurrent programs
- Strong experience with Asana or similar tools
- English fluency required; Spanish fluency preferred
- Completion of GPS Facilitator Training and Certification (or willingness)
- Experience leading teams and managing program delivery at scale
- Reliable remote work setup
