Real Leadership Academy (RLA)

REAL Leadership Academy is Gamma Phi Beta’s in-person leadership event designed exclusively for incoming collegiate chapter presidents and chapter advisors. Participation in this event is required and will equip leaders with the tools needed to create lasting change at their chapters and within international Gamma Phi Beta.

Recruitment Summit

Recruitment Summit is designed to help develop your chapter’s recruitment strategy, where you will walk away with tools for recruitment workshops, public relations success and recruitment planning. This collaborative event strives to strengthen our campus recruitment efforts and provide you and your collegians with resources and tools for your recruitment preparations!

Position Information
Purpose 
Program facilitators support the implementation of their assigned program. Program facilitators may serve as large group facilitator and/or small group facilitator depending on the needs of the program.  

Responsibilities   

  • Facilitate Gamma Phi Beta educational programs for collegiate members and volunteers.   
  • Provide feedback to staff and volunteer supervisors on educational content.   
  • Guide participants through breakout sessions.   

 Expectations   

  • Participate in all required training and event dates, which may include virtual programs and travel to in-person programs. 
  • Review educational material before the event and prepare as needed on your own time.   
  • Meet all expectations as outlined in Gamma Phi Beta’s Appointed Volunteer Expectations Agreement. 

Preferred Competencies and Experiences   

  • Communication 
  • Applied Learning 
  • Gamma Phi Beta Knowledge 
  • Prior facilitation experience is preferred
  • Subject-matter expertise for the program topic is preferred. 

Key Dates

  • ​​​​​​Application Deadline: October 18th
  • Applicants Submit a Recorded Facilitation Sample Using a Provided Facilitator Guide: Due By October 31st - More information will be sent via email about this process once you submit your application.
  • Virtual Training Sessions for Selected Applicants: January 4-6
  • REAL Leadership Academy including On-Site Facilitator Training: January 8-10
  • Recruitment Summit including On-Site Facilitator Training: February 26-28
Travel and Accommodations
Selected applicants will receive reimbursement for travel per Gamma Phi Beta's Workforce Travel and Expense Policy and shared accommodations in a double room at the event hotel.
