Lead large-scale IT operations transformation programs, managing execution and governance, focusing on cloud infrastructure and modern IT practices.
McLaren Strategic Solutions is seeking a Program Leader – IT Operations Technology Transformation to drive complex, multi-year transformation initiatives across enterprise IT operations environments. This role focuses on cloud infrastructure, hosting platforms, observability, network operations, and operating model transformation, with full ownership of program execution, governance, and outcomes.
This is a highly visible leadership role requiring a strong blend of program execution discipline, technical depth in infrastructure environments, and stakeholder influence across large, complex organizations.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale IT operations transformation programs, ensuring alignment to business and technology objectives
- Define and execute multi-year transformation roadmaps, including milestones, dependencies, risks, and success metrics
- Establish and manage program governance, including reporting, decision frameworks, and execution cadence
- Drive execution discipline across multiple workstreams, ensuring timely delivery, risk mitigation, and issue resolution
- Lead transformation initiatives across cloud infrastructure, hosting platforms, observability/monitoring, and network operations
- Partner with architecture, engineering, and operations teams to translate strategy into executable plans
- Drive adoption of modern IT operations practices, including automation, AIOps, intelligent monitoring, and predictive incident management
- Lead outsourcing and managed service transitions, including vendor coordination, service integration, and SLA alignment
- Build strong relationships across stakeholders, including engineering, security, operations, and executive leadership
- Lead change management efforts to ensure the successful adoption of new operating models and technologies
- Provide clear, executive-level communication on program status, risks, dependencies, and key decisions
Required Skills
- 8+ years of experience leading large-scale, cross-functional technology transformation programs
- Strong experience within IT operations environments, including cloud, hosting, observability, and network operations
- Proven ability to manage complex, multi-workstream programs with interdependencies and multiple stakeholders
- Experience leading outsourcing or managed services transitions
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and modern IT operations practices
- Experience with or exposure to AIOps, automation, or AI-driven operational capabilities
- Demonstrated ability to drive execution, manage risk, and maintain momentum in complex environments
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including executive-level reporting
Preferred Skills
- Experience leading enterprise-scale IT transformation programs in regulated industries
- Familiarity with observability platforms, monitoring tools, and infrastructure automation frameworks
- Experience working with global teams and distributed delivery models
- Background in infrastructure engineering, cloud platforms, or IT operations leadership roles
- Experience in driving operating model transformation or organizational change initiatives
