Certifications: Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification.
Required Education: HS Diploma/GED
Required Experience: Fifteen (15) + years of experience in supporting Information Technology as a Program Manager, Deputy Program Manager, or Senior Project Manager.
Position Description:
PingWind is seeking a Program Manager who will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex IT projects within the government sector. This role involves coordinating with multiple stakeholders, ensuring compliance with government regulations, and managing project resources to meet contractual obligations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in program management, a strong understanding of government contracting processes, and a technical background in IT.
Primary Responsibilities:
Typical Responsibilities/Tasks:
•Plans, organizes, and coordinates the project lifecycle for technology infrastructure projects, including server, mainframe, storage, database, and network technology lifecycle management.
•Oversees projects from initiation through implementation including phases such as planning, execution, monitoring/controlling, and close-out.
•Establishes project requirements, priorities, and deadlines.
•Manages, coordinates, and establishes priorities for complete life-cycle of projects including the planning, design, programming, testing, and implementation of solutions designed to meet the project requirements.
•Determines project needs and acquires resources required for the success of the project.
•Designs project plans which identify needs and define major tasks and milestones, based on scope, resources, budget, and personnel.
•Manages the agreed scope of the organization's solution projects and provides innovative solutions to complex problems for the purpose of increasing the speed of development and change and of driving the achievement of business objectives.
•Directs technological research by studying organization goals, strategies, practices, and user projects. Oversees the development of solution roadmaps of the overall vision that underlies the projected solution, transforms that vision through execution into the solution, and assures projects meet the quality requirements.
•Strong technical understanding of Information Technology, Identity and Access Management, and AWS GovCloud systems and services for the areas of work contemplated in the PWS.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience in presenting material to senior Government officials.
•Ability to interact and communicate with key managers and functional experts including internal service delivery teams, client project teams.
•Demonstrated experience in executing, monitoring, and managing projects to successful, high- quality and on-budget completion.
