About the Role 

We are seeking a visionary and highly motivated AI Factory Program Manager to drive the development and delivery of our AI Factory platform. This unique hybrid role requires a strong blend of program management, Scrum Master expertise, and product ownership to ensure the AI Factory operates efficiently, delivers high-quality AI solutions, and aligns with strategic business goals. This role will be instrumental in bridging the technical AI teams with business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Scrum Master (50%)
  • Agile Leadership: Serve as the Scrum Master for multiple AI development teams, facilitating all Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives).
  • Process Optimization: Implement and continuously improve agile methodologies and processes tailored for AI/ML development, including managing data dependencies, model training pipelines, and MLOps workflows.
  • Risk & Impediment Management: Proactively identify, track, and remove impediments, risks, and dependencies that could block team progress, particularly those related to data, infrastructure, and cross-functional teams.
  • Reporting & Communication: Monitor and report on key program metrics, team velocity, and project status to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment across the AI Factory.
Product Owner (50%)
  • Vision & Strategy: Define and articulate the product vision and strategy for specific components or services within the AI Factory, ensuring alignment with the overall business and AI strategy.
  • Backlog Management: Own, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog for the AI team, clearly defining user stories, acceptance criteria, and epics for new AI features, models, and platform capabilities.
  • Stakeholder Alignment: Serve as the primary liaison between the AI development team and key internal stakeholders (e.g., business unit leads, data science, engineering) to gather requirements and communicate progress.
  • Value Maximization: Continuously assess and track the business value delivered by the AI models and platforms, guiding the team to prioritize work that maximizes ROI and customer impact.

Required Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 8+ years of progressive experience in technical program management, product management, or a similar role, with at least 2 years focused on AI, Machine Learning, or Data Science initiatives.
  • Certifications: Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification or experience.
  • Agile Leadership: Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional projects in an Agile environment.
  • Communication: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.

The expected base salary for this position is: CAD 190000/ USD 195,000 excluding annual bonus and equity (when applicable). Salary is based on a number of factors including market conditions, location and may vary depending on job-related skills and experience.
