Position Summary
The Project Coordinator plays an important role in the organization by managing and supporting smaller projects, and project support for the company's EPMO Information Technology projects. The Project Coordinator is responsible for full project life cycle activities and development of core materials in the project lifecycle. The Project Coordinator is an entry level to project management with an opportunity to develop project management skills and experience to take on individually increasing more complex and larger projects. Project Coordinators will also work with other members of the EPMO team, participating in improvement projects for EPMO processes, procedures and tools.
Compensation
This role is an exempt position with a Targeted Salary Range of $64,000 - $90,000 annually.
Compensation at Guild is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to local and federal minimum wage requirements, education, level of experience, and applicant’s geographical location.
Essential Functions
- Manage and assist in projects under the EPMO Portfolio, including projects initiated through product teams, strategic projects, and technology Assist in development and managing project artifacts and processes including scope, schedule, budget, and resources.
- Define project objectives, milestones, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Execute project planning and tracking, document and communicate project statuses and risks, including standard project status reports and ad hoc communication as assigned.
- Manage change control through identification and evaluation of impact on proposed and necessary business or technical changes to scope, requirements, designs or plans.
- Keep management and key stakeholders informed on a timely basis on project progress, status and/or concerns to ensure that expectations are met.
- Assist in managing and coordinating the implementation of IT projects.
- Assist in development of detailed proposals to support Guild projects.
- Facilitate onboarding contractors for projects.
- Build relationships and work closely with IT and business leaders and staff.
- Maintain up to date RAID log to document project risks, assumptions, issues, and decisions. Identify, assess, and manage program risks and issues.
- Analyze project delivery performance metrics, develop KPIs, and project reporting against project milestones, budget and other plan expectations.
- Contribute to development and maturity of the Guild EPMO project management practice through development of tools, templates, processes, and standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management or related field to the position or equivalent, required.
- Minimum three years' experience as an IT professional. Minimum of one to three years of project management experience.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Prior experience in Mortgage Banking or Financial Services systems preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Project or Smartsheet.
- Working knowledge of Jira and Tempo tools, or similar IT management software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented; ability to work in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, Wiki, collaborative cloud-based programs, and third-party software applications required.

Requirements
Physical: Work is primarily sedentary; mobility in an office setting.
Manual Dexterity: Ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
Audio/Visual: Regularly required to accurately perceive, distinguish and interpret information received visually and through audio, e.g., words, numbers and other data broadcasted aloud/viewed on a screen, as well as print and other media. Ability to accurately interpret sounds and associated meanings at a volume consistent with interpersonal conversation.
Travel: 5-10%
Environmental: Office environment – moderate noise, no substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
Mental: Learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, and make timely decisions in the context of a workflow. This role requires effective adaptation to workplace stressors, including customer service complaints, security responsibilities, and competing priorities. Must be able to adhere to process protocol. Must be able to apply established protocols in a timely manner.
Schedules: Work is primarily performed during the business week, Monday - Friday; occasional night or weekend may be necessary.
