The Project Coordinator will support power drop projects from initial request through installation, energization, and project closeout. This role is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented project professional who can coordinate schedules, utilities, vendors, contractors, municipalities, and internal stakeholders while keeping projects moving forward. The Project Coordinator will help ensure project milestones, documentation, costs, risks, and closeout activities are managed accurately and proactively.
This position will be working Eastern Time.
Responsibilities- Coordinate power drop projects from initial request through installation, energization, and project closeout.
- Serve as the primary liaison between project teams, electric utility companies, field personnel, contractors, vendors, municipalities, and other external stakeholders.
- Initiate and track utility service requests, site assessments, engineering requirements, estimates, permits, and installation schedules.
- Coordinate site readiness activities and verify required infrastructure is completed before utility installation or energization.
- Track project schedules, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables across multiple concurrent projects.
- Partner with utility providers to obtain service requirements, cost estimates, design information, construction schedules, and energization dates.
- Coordinate services required to support successful project execution.
- Monitor project costs, utility charges, purchase orders, invoices, and other project-related financial information.
- Identify scheduling conflicts, project risks, and potential delays, and proactively coordinate solutions with the appropriate stakeholders.
- Facilitate project status meetings and provide clear updates on schedule, cost, risks, outstanding actions, and overall project progress.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, trackers, correspondence, approvals, drawings, permits, and closeout records.
- Coordinate field activities with contractors and operational teams while minimizing disruption to existing operations.
- Escalate critical issues affecting project schedule, cost, safety, or operational requirements.
- Support process improvements, standardized procedures, reporting tools, and project-management best practices.
- Ensure projects comply with applicable company standards, utility requirements, safety procedures, and local regulations.
- Support project closeout by confirming successful energization, resolving outstanding items, reconciling costs, and completing required documentation.
- 2+ yrs of experience coordinating projects involving utilities, field operations, contractors, vendors, municipalities, or external service providers.
- Strong project coordination skills, including scheduling, milestone tracking, dependency management, documentation, and follow-up.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining accuracy, urgency, and clear communication.
- Experience supporting utility service requests, permitting, site readiness, installation scheduling, or project closeout activities.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to coordinate across internal teams, utility companies, vendors, contractors, and field personnel.
- Ability to identify risks, scheduling conflicts, cost concerns, and project delays, then support timely resolution.
- Experience tracking costs, purchase orders, invoices, utility charges, or other project-related financial information.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to provide concise project updates and facilitate status meetings.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to maintain accurate records, trackers, approvals, permits, correspondence, and closeout documentation.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment where priorities may shift.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Ability to follow company standards, safety procedures, utility requirements, and local regulations.
The base salary for this position is $67,000– $80,000, plus incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on work location, qualifications, skills, education, experience, and competencies. Benefits available to eligible employees in this role include medical, dental, and vision insurance, comprehensive employee assistance program, 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off and holidays and paid learning days.
