As a Project Engineer III or Senior – Natural Gas Processing, you will apply your technical expertise to deliver high-impact engineering solutions that support operations, improve processes, and drive business performance. This role offers the opportunity to work independently on projects while also leading initiatives, influencing decisions, and mentoring others.

You’ll contribute across the full engineering lifecycle—evaluation, design, testing, and implementation—while championing safety, innovation, and operational excellence. Success in this role requires strong technical judgment, initiative, and the ability to anticipate and respond to evolving business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute a broad range of moderately complex to advanced engineering assignments, applying technical evaluation, innovation, and sound judgment

  • Lead and/or support mid- to large-scale projects, including design, performance testing, and construction of new or existing facilities

  • Analyze technical and economic factors to recommend solutions that improve products, processes, or services

  • Interpret internal and external customer needs; anticipate requirements and deliver effective solutions

  • Demonstrate expertise across multiple engineering disciplines and apply specialized knowledge to complex challenges

  • Prepare and deliver clear, impactful presentations to stakeholders

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure compliance, training alignment, and continuous improvement

  • Champion safety standards, processes, and procedures; maintain a strong understanding of industry and regulatory requirements

  • Monitor and manage project costs, resources, and timelines

  • Lead or provide guidance to small teams or less experienced engineers (Senior level scope)

  • Maintain proficiency in company policies, procedures, and applicable governing guidelines

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Additional Technical Scope

Primary – Onshore Gas Processing Plants

  • Serve as the lead Project Engineer for onshore gas processing facility projects, owning technical scope, engineering deliverables, schedule, and cost

  • Support both tactical site projects (debottlenecking, reliability fixes, brownfield tie-ins) and large capital projects (upgrades, expansions, multi-discipline builds)

  • Apply process/design experience across onshore natural gas processing systems, including:

    • Inlet receiving & gas treating

    • Dehydration

    • Cryogenic NGL recovery

    • NGL/condensate stabilization, storage & export

    • Gas compression

    • Flare, relief & safety systems

    • Utilities, controls & balance of plantSecondary – Offshore Topside Facilities (Preferred)
      Experience with offshore topside process engineering, including brownfield modifications, tie-ins, and platform facilities

    • Familiarity with offshore regulatory frameworks (e.g., BSEE, NTLs)

Secondary – Offshore Topside Facilities (Preferred)

  • Experience with offshore topside process engineering, including brownfield modifications, tie-ins, and platform facilities

  • Familiarity with offshore regulatory frameworks (e.g., BSEE, NTLs)

  • Additional Technical Experience

  • Experience with process simulation tools (e.g., HYSYS)

  • Working knowledge of industry codes and standards (e.g., API, ASME, process safety management, overpressure protection)

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline from an accredited college or university

  • OR Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Technology in a relevant field

  • 4+ years (Engineer III) or 8+ years (Senior Engineer) of multifaceted engineering experience in the natural gas or petrochemical industry

Preferred

  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or FE certification

  • Project Management experience

  • Progressive experience demonstrating increased responsibility and leadership (Senior level)

Travel: Approximately 5%~ 10% to plant sites and offshore facilities, as needed.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with increasing leadership responsibility

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
