Pay Range:

$78,100.00 - $128,500.00

POSITION SUMMARY 

 

The Senior Project Manager will ensure cross-functional teams achieve development and commercialization objectives, coordinate collaborations with partners/evaluators, facilitate communications, and create, drive, and maintain schedules for product development projects. He/she will work with stakeholders and subject matter experts to initiate, plan, and execute project activities, identify resources, and define responsibilities & deliverables to ensure timely progress against project milestones, and provide visibility across all projects. The position is highly cross-functional and visible within the Research & Development, Commercial, and Operations teams and across the entire Bio-Techne Diagnostics Division. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

 

Project Management: 

  • Develops and implements project plans, including cost, scope, schedule, risk, resource, and communications plans. 

  • Identifies potential programmatic bottlenecks or delays and drives efforts to ensure projects stay on schedule.  

  • Identifies, communicates, and mitigates project risks. 

  • Guides the team in appropriate decision-making through analyzing options and reviewing implications with the team; make decisions pertinent to the project as needed. 

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with product development processes and procedures 

Communications and Reviews: 

  • Be responsible for team and cross-functional communications (written and oral). 

  • Act as liaison between the project team and the leadership team as required. 

  • Define and track key project metrics; coordinate and guide project phase reviews. 

  • Elevate critical business decisions to the appropriate leadership team members. 

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with functional leaders to drive success of projects and teams. 

Team Management: 

  • Directs cross-functional teams to complete development deliverables, milestones, product launches, engineering changes, software releases, and other high priority projects. 

  • Builds team ownership and commitment to project plans. 

  • Influence in a complex, matrixed environment, for optimal project outcomes.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS 

 

Education and Experience: 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree 

  • 3+ years of experience in a program or project management role 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Graduate Degree or advanced project management certification  

  • Demonstrated success with managing projects supporting diagnostic development 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. 

  • Familiarity with diagnostic development project management 

  • Working knowledge of ISO, CLIA, CAP, FDA requirements. 

  • Detail oriented and highly organized. 

  • Shows high degree of persistence and drive to accomplish goals in a timely manner. 

  • Ability to determine the resources and support to meet project goals and timelines. 

  • Proficient in the use of computer and mobile applications and software, including but not limited to Microsoft Suite, Smartsheet, or similar 

  • Ability to work autonomously to manage and prioritize multiple tasks at one time. 

  • Professional demeanor 

  • Self-directed and creative  

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and partner collaboratively with multiple teams.   

  • Ability to work cross-functionally with scientific and non-scientific staff in a matrix management environment
