VetsEZ is seeking a results-driven Project Manager to lead Agile software development teams supporting DevSecOps initiatives for the Department of Veterans Affairs. The Project Manager will be responsible for end-to-end oversight of assigned projects, guiding cross functional teams through large scale initiatives or key components of complex programs. This role will manage the full lifecycle of applications and systems from intake through delivery, ensuring alignment with program objectives, budgets, and schedules while driving collaboration across multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of application and system projects from intake through customer delivery, leveraging the SAFe DevSecOps framework.
  • Lead and manage Agile Scrum teams, products, and processes throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Partner with technical leads to support CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage project schedules using Agile project management methodologies and tools.
  • Provide regular reporting on project milestones, risks, impediments, dependencies, and escalation needs.
  • Present project vision, strategy, roadmaps, and planned deliveries to VA leadership, stakeholders, and governance groups.
  • Coordinate with VA leadership and stakeholders to align priorities, manage dependencies, and mitigate risks across the portfolio.
  • Expedite and coordinate services to support complex enterprise-level projects.
  • Collaborate with VA stakeholders and internal teams to develop and communicate implementation strategies.
  • Contribute to team objectives and take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business, or a related technical discipline.
  • 8+ years of experience managing IT projects, with demonstrated ability to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Strong experience managing complex IT projects in Agile environments.
  • Knowledge of SAFe, Agile, and DevSecOps methodologies.
  • Experience tracking project costs, schedules, and performance metrics.
  • Ability to operate effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
  • Proven ability to translate project activities into executive-level reports, correspondence, and presentations.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Additional Qualifications

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • PMP, SAFe, or other relevant project management certifications preferred.
  • Prior IT project management experience within a federal government environment is a plus.
  • Previous strategic management or management consulting experience is a plus.
