JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Manager to lead high-impact, cross-functional initiatives for Sysco’s finance function. This role will be instrumental in streamlining critical finance processes and accelerating the company’s finance transformation strategy through the successful delivery of complex projects.
The Project Manager will plan, organize, and execute projects with precision—ensuring alignment with strategic objectives—while partnering closely with business and technology teams to deliver sustainable outcomes on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The ideal candidate will have moderate knowledge of core finance processes (such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Reporting, Disputes, Intercompany Transactions) and proven experience delivering large-scale system implementations in enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end project management for finance-related initiatives and enterprise system implementations.
  • Organize and guide cross-functional teams, assigning responsibilities, defining timelines, and managing resource needs.
  • Develop detailed project plans, track milestones, and ensure timely delivery of key deliverables.
  • Monitor and report on project status including scope, cost, staffing, and timing to stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, resolve obstacles, and drive accountability to meet project objectives.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure seamless integration and delivery.
  • Ensure alignment with internal policies, quality standards (e.g., ISO), and compliance requirements.
  • Support portfolio management of multiple, interrelated transformation projects

Professional Skills:

  • Strong leadership and influencing skills across technical and non-technical teams, with a proven ability to drive alignment and accountability in complex, matrixed environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex information to executive stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and external vendors.
  • Stakeholder engagement expertise, with the ability to collaborate and build consensus across Finance, IT, and other business units to ensure project alignment with strategic goals.
  • Change management capability, including developing and executing change plans, managing resistance, and driving adoption across impacted teams and regions.
  • Deep understanding of various project management methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid), with the flexibility to apply the most effective approach based on project needs and organizational maturity.
  • Strong vendor management and coordination skills, including overseeing third-party deliverables, managing contract compliance, and ensuring service-level adherence.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement, risk mitigation, and value delivery throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Resilience and adaptability, with the ability to remain effective in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities and stakeholder needs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, Operations, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 3–5+ years of experience in program or project management, preferably in large multinational organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience leading enterprise systems rollouts (SAP, Workday, Salesforce, Oracle, etc.) and utilizing the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Familiarity with finance processes including AP, AR, GL, reporting, disputes, and intercompany transactions.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in project tools such as Smartsheet, MS Project, or Jira.
  • Advanced English (B2+ or above).

Benefits:

  • Hybrid (3 days Office/Ultra park II Lagunilla, Heredia)
  • Private Medical Insurance
  • Asociacion Solidarista
  • Life Insurance
