- We are hiring a a 3D Project Manager for Westminster, Herndon, or Remote
- Routinely communicating clearly and directly with a variety of stakeholders across Vantor. This could include internal 3D teams and Leaders, other Vantor operational and customer facing teams, and occasionally senior leadership up to and including ELT level
- Communicating via a wide variety of methods sometimes simultaneously, i.e., Outlook, Teams, Slack, JIRA, JSM, Salesforce, and in person (when applicable)
- Performing feasibility analyses, Levels of Effort (LOEs), and providing actionable information to internal 3D stakeholders and customer facing teams
- Processing and tracking confirmed sample and smaller revenue order requests, working with customer teams to ensure documentation is in place
- Guiding customer teams with AOI edits for feasibilities, for billing and finance purposes, or to help push opportunities towards deal closure
- Support 3DPM team members with large revenue project metrics and reporting, GIS tracking, DDR input and other tasks as needed
- Create JIRA tickets to initiate and support revenue project, 3D Construct review, and customer feedback requests
- Accessing and navigating Salesforce, 3D JIRA and JSM to inquire, track, and follow-up regarding incoming and ongoing opportunities
- Link Product Requests with Build Tasks, or updating Build Task priorities so 3DPM and 2D Production can effectively track production progress
- Assisting with image ordering and initial build processing, sometime requiring weekend monitoring
- Working with internal Vantor HUB Platform and 2D Engineering teams, entering DDRs for internal 3D data deliveries and tracking delivery progress to support future Product initiatives relying on base 3D data
- Placing and monitoring 3D Tasking orders with the Collection Planning team
- Placing and monitoring 1B orders through DMC for external vendors
- Become familiar with 3D Vivid Terrain Product Specifications, typical Construct export parameters and more specific customer PPSPEC file intricacies for product deliverables
- Continuously review and update evolving 3DPM working documentation, compiling feedback and assisting in creation of workflow improvement presentation materials
- Taking meeting minutes for weekly 3DPM and/or additional meetings
A successful candidate would:
- Be able to handle sometimes very complex situations without clear step-by step work instructions, and be able to ask for help for anything, anytime, and to anyone if needed
- Be comfortable with a mix of both conventional Project Management and more Vantor-adapted Project Management practices
- Think outside the box, be able to problem solve and communicate if something isn’t clear or making sense to progress on a task
- Be willing to make mistakes and learn and grow, self-initiate and be willing to take a risk and progress to the next steps on your own with minimal direction once tasked
- Demonstrate superb written and verbal communication skills between internal 3D and various other Vantor teams, and including Senior Leadership and ELT members at times
- Escalate issues, project deadlines and revenue risks or challenges immediately
- Be able to handle multiple priorities and inputs at once, and possess the keen ability to swivel chair from task to task in a sometimes stressful, chaotic and fast-paced ever-changing environment
- Be able to stay organized and complete most work with minimal oversight
- Be assertive, honest, and speak up about anything, from celebrations and successes to concerns, challenges and areas for improvement
- Be extremely detail orientated with great follow through in their work
- Have experience with GIS software, i.e., ArcGIS, QGIS, or Global Mapper
- Present some Enterprise software knowledge or experience, i.e, JIRA, JSM, Salesforce, SAP
- Show they are a great teammate and can act as part of a team first
- Be passionate about 3D Products!
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- 2-4 years of related experience within Maxar/Vantor and meeting or exceeding Vantor performance expectations
- Your manager/supervisor needs to be aware that you are applying
- Must meet one of the following:
- Bachelor's degree or completion of recognized training program in related field + 2 years of experience in a similar position in the geospatial industry
- Associate’s degree + 3 year of experience in a similar position in the geospatial industry
- 4 years of experience in a similar position in the geospatial industry
Preferred Qualifications:
- If within distance of the Westminster office, willingness to work in office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, and should be able to demonstrate experience collaborating across multiple teams and/or working with customers
- Basic knowledge of GIS software (e.g., ESRI ArcGIS, QGIS, QT Viewer/Modeler)
- Basic knowledge of mapping or navigation applications (e.g., different coordinate systems, projections, GPS)
- Basic knowledge of Linux platforms
- Basic experience with project tracking software (e.g., Jira, enterprise-level ticketing)
