Senior Project Manager (Digital)
FUF Digital · Austin, TX · Remote or Hybrid · Full time
About FUF Digital
FUF Digital is the US arm of FUF // Frank und Freunde GmbH (www.fuf.de), a Stuttgart based enterprise engineering firm with more than 30 years of operation.
In 2026 we opened our Austin office to build a direct US presence. That means we combine a three decade engineering bench in Germany with an Austin team that moves at US speed. The Austin office is in its first chapter, and the people we hire now will shape what this operation becomes.
The Role
We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to be one of our first Austin hires. You will own the delivery of digital product and platform engagements end to end, working directly with US clients and with the senior engineering team in Stuttgart.
This is not a ticket triaging role. You will be trusted with full project accountability from day one, in front of clients that include US subsidiaries of European corporations, healthcare and higher education institutions, and growth stage technology companies.
If you want to build something with visible leverage, in an environment that rewards substance over theater, this is that seat.
What You Will Do
- Own the full lifecycle of digital engagements, from scoping and statement of work through launch and ongoing support
- Serve as the primary point of contact for US clients, translating business goals into crisp engineering briefs
- Coordinate delivery across the Austin office and the Stuttgart engineering team, managing handoffs, timelines, and dependencies across time zones
- Manage project economics, including budget tracking, change orders, and margin health
- Facilitate discovery workshops, sprint planning, stakeholder reviews, and executive steering sessions
- Bring structure to ambiguous client situations and return with a plan the team can execute against
- Contribute to the build out of our Austin delivery playbook, templates, and internal tooling
- Partner with the US founder on new business conversations, scoping, and solution design when useful
What You Will Bring
- 5 plus years of project or program management experience in a digital agency, consultancy, or in house product organization
- Proven track record delivering web platform, custom software, or digital product engagements at the 100k to 1M USD range
- Strong client presence. You can run a room with a CMO or a VP of Engineering and leave both feeling that you heard them
- Clear written communication. You write short, decisive emails and Slack messages that reduce confusion instead of adding to it
- Nice to have: experience working with distributed or cross border teams, exposure to regulated industries (healthcare, higher education, nonprofit), or background with Drupal, headless CMS, or AI product work
- Some understanding of what we actually do.
Why This Seat
- Founding team energy with enterprise grade backing. You are not betting on a seed stage runway, you are joining an established company building a new office.
- Direct line to ownership. You will work with the US founder and with the Stuttgart partners. Decisions are made in days, not quarters
- Real technical depth behind you. You will never have to oversell a scope because the Stuttgart team cannot back it up
- A seat at the table for shaping Austin culture, hiring, and operating rhythm as we grow
- Client portfolio that spans German American industry, US healthcare and higher education, and applied AI product work
Logistics
- Location: Austin, TX. Hybrid / Remote
- Type: Full time
- Work authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States. We are not sponsoring visas for this role
How to Apply
