With a robust client base in Texas, we are expanding our team and seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Projects Apprentice. If you're a dedicated professional with a strong Interest in HVAC, this is your opportunity to join a dynamic company poised for growth.
Responsibilities
- Perform quoted project work on commercial HVAC equipment as per the scope of work
- Work in unison with Project Team to complete tasks and projects
- Update project status and requirements to Project Lead and/or Project Supervisor
- Provide excellent craftsmanship and quality of work
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, including the proper use of PPE
- Complete accurate timecards and service activities
- Regularly communicate with Project Foreman, Project Coordinator, and Project Manager
- Seek work performance guidance and coaching from Project Manager
- Adhere to Safety Best Practices
- Other duties, as needed
Requirements
Requirements
- 2 years of commercial/industrial HVAC experience or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to read and interpret Construction Documents, Plans and Specifications
- Tech registration with TDLR
- EPA Universal Certification
- Ability to perform basic troubleshooting/system analysis preferred
- Provide basic hand tools, i.e. screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, etc.
- Excellent organization skills
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and a smartphone
- Effective communication skills (written and oral)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Must be able to lift and maneuver large, heavy equipment, parts, and tools, weighing in excess of 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work on ladders, lifts, and from high elevations
- Must be able to work in confined spaces
- Must be able to work in extremely hot and cold climates
