We’re looking for a Promotions Strategy Manager who understands how incentives influence customer behavior and can help shape the future of promotional strategy at Fliff.
The Role
The Promotions Strategy Manager will help determine what offers Fliff runs, who receives them, how success is measured, and how promotional spend can be optimized to drive customer engagement and long-term value.
This role sits at the intersection of promotional strategy, customer behavior, analytics, competitive intelligence, and operational execution. You will partner closely with Lifecycle Marketing, Product, Analytics, Finance, Compliance, and VIP teams to develop and optimize promotional programs that support business growth while maintaining sustainable economics.
This role reports to the Senior Director of Lifecycle Marketing.
What You’ll Do
Design customer incentive strategies that support acquisition, engagement, retention, reactivation, loyalty, and monetization objectives
Develop promotional concepts, offer structures, and qualification criteria across customer segments
Recommend promotional investments based on customer behavior, business objectives, and market trends
Identify opportunities for cross-product promotions and new incentive strategies
Evaluate promotional performance and return on investment across offer types and customer segments
Analyze redemption behavior, promotional costs, customer response, and offer effectiveness
Support promotional forecasting, budgeting, and cost management efforts
Measure incrementality and identify opportunities to improve promotional efficiency
Help establish best practices around promotional testing and optimization
Maintain a constant pulse on promotional activity across sportsbook, fantasy sports, social gaming, social casino, and adjacent industries
Track competitor acquisition offers, retention programs, loyalty initiatives, VIP incentives, and event-based promotions
Identify emerging trends, opportunities, and risks within the promotional landscape
Bring new promotional concepts, mechanics, and customer engagement ideas to the business on a regular basis
Own Fliff’s promotional calendar and promotional portfolio across products and customer segments
Coordinate promotional scheduling across customer segments, business objectives, sporting events, product launches, and enterprise initiatives
Manage promotional inventory and offer prioritization across identified segments
Partner with Lifecycle Marketing, VIP, Social and Product teams to ensure successful deployment of promotional initiatives
Design and execute structured testing plans for promotional initiatives in coordination with Analytics
Evaluate offer mechanics, incentive values, timing, targeting, and promotional frequency
Partner with Analytics teams to measure outcomes and identify optimization opportunities
Establish repeatable processes that improve promotional performance over time

Within your first year, you will:
What We’re Looking For
5+ years of experience in promotions, loyalty, CRM, retention marketing, gaming operations, commercial strategy, or related disciplines
Experience within sportsbook, fantasy sports, social gaming, social casino, mobile gaming, loyalty programs, or adjacent industries
Strong understanding of promotional mechanics, customer incentives, and offer design
Experience evaluating campaign performance and customer behavior
Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
Experience working cross-functionally with Marketing, Analytics, Product, and Finance teams
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, startup environment with a hands-on approach
Experience working with promotional economics, customer segmentation, and incentive optimization
SQL proficiency and experience with tools such as Tableau, Looker, Amplitude, Mixpanel, or similar analytics platforms
Experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms such as Braze, Optimove, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or similar tools
Experience operating within regulated industries
Working knowledge of recommendation systems, offer optimization frameworks, and next-best-action decisioning models
Familiarity with machine learning approaches such as propensity modeling, uplift modeling, recommendation engines, or Multi-Armed Bandit methodologies
Experience partnering with Data Science teams to operationalize predictive models and personalization strategies
