Position Overview

As a QA Engineer at GovWorx, you will be responsible for working on our small but effective Quality Assurance team. We are looking for someone that can help us evolve our current QA practices so that they exceed industry standards for Software as a Service systems. Given the mission critical role our software plays in our customer’s environments, we need to continuously monitor and improve our ability to develop high quality software.

Key Responsibilities
  • QA Process:

    • Produce clear diagrams, documentation, and implementation plans for our QA systems / processes.

    • Follow company architectural guidelines and industry best practices when developing QA automation frameworks / systems.

    • Use AI as necessary / appropriate to ensure maximum effective test coverage.

  • QA Automation:

    • Ability to write test automation that can validate across the entire stack; front-end, backend, and database.

    • Ability to write meaningful automated tests including Unit Tests, integration tests, and functional automation (e.g. Selenium, Playwright, etc).

    • Ability to write and organize manual test cases as necessary, or as a precursor to automation.

  • Collaboration and Support:

    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including support and customer success.

    • Providing consistent and meaningful progress and performance updates to senior management and the Executive Leadership Team.

Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizenship required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an individual contributor working in software testing, preferably within SaaS or technology-driven organizations.

  • Experience writing automation in a modern framework such as Selenium, Playwright, etc.

  • Experience with Relational Databases such as MySQL, Postgres, etc.

  • Alternative datastores such as OpenSearch, Redshift, etc. are a major plus.

  • Strong understanding of web development frameworks and architectures.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

  • Must pass FBI fingerprint and background check in multiple states

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with CJIS compliance is highly preferred.

  • Background in public safety, emergency communications, or related fields.

  • Familiarity with AI-driven platforms and their security considerations.
