Paramount Games, a Skydance Corporation, is looking for a seasoned QA Manager to build our publishing QA function from the ground up. This team will serve as the final checkpoint between what we and our development partners create and what actually reaches players. The right candidate will source and manage external testing partners while owning the QA process end-to-end, from a title's earliest builds through launch.
*This will be a 6 month project hire with the potential for extension and/or conversion to staff hire.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of external QA testers
- Design and roll out QA strategy, workflows, and standards tailored to each title's scope, platform requirements, and risk areas.
- Partner with producers, leads, and platform holders to set testing priorities, milestones, and coverage goals across the production calendar.
- Build and drive execution of test plans, test case libraries, and scenario coverage across all game systems, modes, and platforms.
- Work directly with development teams to triage and prioritize bugs, track defect status, and keep resolution moving throughout the certification cycle.
- Keep testing documentation current and audit-ready for test plans, coverage matrices, defect logs, and cert submission records.
- Report clearly and regularly to stakeholders on testing status, flag risk early, and bring recommendations, not just problems.
- Track emerging QA tooling, methods, and industry practice, and bring that knowledge back to the team to keep our process sharp.
Requirements
- 8+ years in a senior QA role, with solid grounding in QA methodology across the full production lifecycle.
- Direct experience leading a testing team, with strong people-management and cross-functional communication skills.
- Comfort with standard QA tooling: bug tracking, test management platforms, and version control.
- Sharp attention to detail paired with the judgment to prioritize what actually matters for ship quality.
- Genuine enthusiasm for games; you understand what makes them work mechanically and why players notice when they don't.
The annual salary range for this position in Los Angeles is $86,000 – $128,000. The salary offered may vary based on the candidate’s location, qualifications, experience and relevant expertise, among other factors.
We realize that skills and expertise can come from many different experiences and paths, and we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet all of the requirements as written in the job description.
