As a Quality Assurance Tester, you’ll be working as part of an agile scrum team supporting a web application as part of a federal government contract. You will support the completion of two-week development sprints, report and track bugs, facilitate integration testing, and ensure that updates to the code base do not cause issues with the application, with the goal to make an impact across the federal government.

What you’ll do:

  • Participate in all agile ceremonies including Daily Standups, Backlog Refinements, and retros.
  • Follow documented testing acceptance criteria in Jira stories to ensure that new features meet all business requirements and do not introduce bugs.
  • Collaborate with developers, testers, business analysts, and UX specialists to deliver new features to web applications as part of an agile scrum team.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain DHS Suitability
  • 2-4 years of experience as a QA tester as part of an agile scrum team
  • 2-4 years of experience performing testing across multiple QA environments
  • Experience using SQL queries as part of testing
  • 2-4 years of experience performing integration testing with external stakeholders
  • 2-4 years of experience tracking and reporting bugs and defects in web applications

SALARY RANGE: $64,000 - $81,000

The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including: 

  • The candidate's professional background and relevant work experience
  • The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs
  • Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation
  • This role is also eligible for additional compensation, subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar, which may include:
    • Performance-based bonuses
    • Company-paid training and/or certifications
    • Referral bonuses
