Description

The Quality Manager will report solid line to the Regional Quality Manager and will be responsible for ensuring effective application of the Baker Hughes Quality Management System (QMS) on projects and services performed at site.

This role will ensure, through team and process management, that the products manufactured, delivered, and/or received by Baker Hughes meet the needs and expectations of customers, always in accordance with applicable standards, procedures, and technical requirements.

The Site Quality Manager will be responsible for:

  • Manage the project quality, quality control and assurance for onshore and offshore activities, seeking a collaborative, safe, and productive environment.
  • Responsible for preparing the annual budget plan (AP) for Quality function including CoPQ forecast, Headcounts and expenses and manage all those provisions across the year.
  • Monitor team utilization and efficiency as per targets defined and apply improvement actions as needed.
  • Periodically evaluate team performance, recognize or define improvement plans for Quality team members.
  • Lead hiring processes for all quality positions at site.
  • Ensure appropriate content of information is timely communicated across all layers in the organization.
  • Interface with Supplier Quality and Sourcing organization to develop a robust quality plan to support business through of supplier’s improvement performance.
  • Assess, submit and provide infrastructure and resources for a productive and quality environment.
  • Ensure that functional reports are following the relevant global and customer requirements.
  • Chair quality sessions with customers locally for performance and satisfaction review.
  • Monitor and evaluate the SP&S KPIs performance in a monthly basis, and when needed to take and/or manage actions to improve the results to meet the business goals.
  • Manage customer issues’ resolution and non-productive time cases across the site.
  • Deploy a plan for management of non-conformances and its reduction to meet global targets.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or production or bachelor’s degree in business administration.
  • 5 years of experience in Oil & Gas industry exercising directly or indirectly Quality duties.
  • Previous experience in projects, people or process leader.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Knowledge in local customer quality requirements related to fabrication and/or services in subsea equipment.
  • Role model in customer interfaces.
  • Solid experience in quality tools for developing improvement actions (5whys, fishbone, FMEA, 5S, Lean, 6-Sigma).
  • Solid knowledge in Quality internal and external audits.
