About the Role

BetterUp is seeking a Quality Operations Lead — a data-driven system architect, who bridges analytics, operations, and strategy to scale excellence across our platform.

This role will drive predictable, measurable quality across Coaches, Members, Partners, and Products — embedding quality as a strategic platform capability that drives trust, confidence, and consistency at every layer.

As a key architect in BetterUp’s platform evolution, you’ll transform data into intelligence and intelligence into action — building proactive systems that define the next generation of quality at scale.

What You’ll Do
  • Build proactive quality intelligence systems that detect, predict, and prevent quality risks across the BetterUp platform.

  • Design scalable frameworks that uncover insights, identify root causes, and automate next steps.

  • Operationalize systems that make quality measurable, repeatable, and efficient across Coaches, Members, and Partners.

  • Partner with Product, Data Science, and Coach Quality to explore AI and conversational intelligence applications that enhance performance and trust.

  • Drive strategic insights that inform executive decisions on renewal risk, network health, and operational efficiency.

  • Serve as a connective force across teams, ensuring insights translate into action and systems scale with growth.

Who You Are
  • 8+ years of experience in operations, strategy, analytics, or systems design — ideally in a platform or technology environment where quality and scale intersect.

  • Deeply data fluent, with a proven ability to move from raw data to strategic insight to executive-ready narrative.

  • A systems architect at heart — you don't just identify problems, you build the frameworks, workflows, and feedback loops that prevent them at scale.

  • A track record of designing and operationalizing systems that deliver measurable, repeatable results across complex, cross-functional environments.

  • An exceptional communicator and influencer — able to translate analytical complexity into clear strategic direction for senior and executive audiences.

  • Passionate about BetterUp's mission and energized by the opportunity to shape the future of human transformation through operational excellence.

  • Advanced proficiency across Excel, SQL, and AI-powered platforms — with a demonstrated track record of building end-to-end operational systems that move from raw data to insight to automated, scalable workflow; familiarity with Python a plus.

Why BetterUp
  • Join a mission-driven company shaping the future of human potential.

  • Work alongside leaders defining quality at the intersection of technology, science, and human development.

  • Influence how thousands of Coaches and millions of Members experience BetterUp worldwide.

The Impact

This is not a traditional operations role — it’s a chance to architect the systems that ensure trust, consistency, and excellence at scale.
