The Role

We’re seeking a UI Developer to design and build high-quality, accessible web interfaces for Life Launch — an interactive fiction platform that helps students with disabilities practice real-world decision-making through story-based experiences.

You’ll collaborate closely with UX designers, educators, and backend developers to create scalable, engaging web applications. This role combines technical skill with thoughtful user experience design.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop responsive, browser-agnostic web interfaces using React.js
  • Integrate with RESTful web services
  • Collaborate on UX design and accessibility improvements
  • Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to front-end best practices

 

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional front-end development experience
  • 5+ years of React.js experience
  • Experience with RESTful APIs
  • Strong understanding of UX and accessibility principles

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud deployment (AWS preferred)
  • Experience deploying and maintaining Node.js services
  • Familiarity with data visualization or charting libraries
  • Experience building mobile-responsive applications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
  • Work Style: Remote (Austin, TX area)
