Role Overview
The Reconciliation Specialist ensures that fund financial data remains accurate, current, and aligned across general ledger, bank activity, capital accounts, and internal systems. This role is responsible for daily reconciliation of fund activity, surfacing discrepancies as they arise, and maintaining a reliable, up-to-date source of record for the platform.
This position offers a front-row view into how venture funds operate at scale. You’ll work closely with fund accounting, treasury, compliance, and platform teams, gaining exposure to the mechanics of venture capital while helping ensure the infrastructure supporting thousands of funds remains trusted and dependable.
What You’ll Own
- Perform daily reconciliation of client fund activity across the general ledger, bank accounts, capital accounts, and internal systems
- Maintain reconciliation schedules, documentation, and audit trails
- Partner with Fund Accountants to investigate reconciliation issues
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes from a controls perspective
- Track recurring reconciliation issues and flag potential systemic or data-quality risks
- Ensure reconciliation findings are documented and communicated appropriately
- Ensure discrepancies are identified and surfaced the same day they arise, maintaining confidence in customer-facing and internal data
What You Bring
- Core Requirements
- 2–5+ years of experience in accounting or reconciliation-focused roles
- Strong attention to detail and comfort working with multi-source financial data
- Ability to investigate discrepancies methodically and communicate findings clearly
- Experience supporting close or audit-related processes
- Comfort operating independently within a defined scope
- Nice to Have
- Experience with venture capital or private equity funds
- Familiarity with fund accounting or administration systems
- Prior exposure to audit preparation or internal controls
