General Description
We are seeking a Records Analyst to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and contribute to the growth and success of our Firm. The Records Analyst will maintain the security and efficiency of Record Management processes. The Analyst will oversee the storing of information and files in the database. They will assist in processing incoming information, including sorting and indexing materials for integration into systems or storage areas.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:
Assembles, analyzes and interprets information to develop actionable steps that will improve processes and optimize results in the Information Governance (IG) Records Department.
Follow IG Procedures in the disposition of Records.
Maintains retention schedules and develops strategies for data management.
Trains new staff and periodically re-trains existing staff on departmental processes and procedures, including providing guidance and technical assistance.
Handles sensitive and/or confidential documents.
Special projects and duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
Excellent organizational skills.
Effective oral communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with firm personnel at all levels with a high degree of professionalism.
Must have communication, time management, multitasking, and analytical skills.
Strong computer and database skills
Required Qualifications & Education:
A bachelor's degree.
Strong initiative and the ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
Ability to multi-task & prioritize work accordingly.
Intermediate keyboarding skills (40 accurate words per minute or greater).
Preferred Qualifications & Education:
A minimum of four (4) years of equivalent work experience in an active records environment is preferred.
Previous experience with a law firm preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
