About the role



The Regional Lead is responsible for overseeing capture operations across the US. This role combines hands-on site experience with operational leadership, vendor management, and performance ownership. The Regional Lead ensures consistent, high-quality capture delivery aligned with company standards, safety requirements, and defined KPIs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and lead full-site reality capture operations across multiple construction projects within the region, ensuring sites are captured completely and in a manner optimized for Buildots’ analysis and algorithms.
  • Manage and support Field Capture Technicians, including recruitment input, onboarding, training alignment, daily guidance, and ongoing performance management.
  • Ensure technicians efficiently capture construction sites using 360° devices and other approved equipment and set-ups based on site conditions and environmental constraints.
  • Monitor execution quality, ensuring capture completeness, data accuracy, proper documentation, and timely uploads in accordance with defined KPIs and SLAs.
  • Maintain clear communication and documentation standards regarding work performed on-site, including reporting, issue escalation, and alignment with internal teams.
  • Ensure strict adherence to personal safety standards and site safety protocols, including compliance with all required certifications, orientations, insurance documentation, and access requirements.
  • Travel between sites within the region as required to conduct audits, hands-on support, performance reviews, and relationship management with site stakeholders.
  • Plan and maintain regional capacity and redundancy, including backup technician coverage and contingency planning for unexpected disruptions.
  • Proactively identify operational risks on construction sites and implement mitigation plans to ensure continuity and high-quality delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Customer Success, Sales, and Product to support regional growth, service excellence, and continuous process improvement.
  • Serve as the primary regional point of contact for Capture Services, ensuring alignment between field execution and company objectives.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience working with vendors
  • 1-2 years of proven field experience operating 360° cameras, surveying equipment, or similar construction site documentation tools.
  • Strong understanding of construction site environments, including the physical and operational challenges involved.
  • 1-2 years of leading or supervising field-based teams, with demonstrated ability to drive accountability and performance.
  • Ability and willingness to work regularly on active construction sites under demanding conditions.
  • High level of ownership, responsibility, and motivation, with a strong hands-on mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to document and report site activities clearly and accurately.
  • Comfortable with physically demanding environments that require extensive walking and on-site presence.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a flexible, solution-oriented attitude.
  • Technical orientation sufficient to manage equipment workflows, data uploads, and operational systems.
  • Availability to travel frequently within the region as part of ongoing site support and oversight.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in Surveying, Photography, Construction, or Construction Technology.
  • Experience managing multiple sites or regional operations simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with reality capture methodologies and construction tech platforms.
  • Experience scaling field operations in a high-growth environment.
