The Position:

We are seeking an exceptional Regional Sales Director to join our growing Commercial team. The successful candidate will be a coach, leader and exceed sales goals by motivating and guiding a team of experienced sales professionals. The primary goal of this role is to lead and continue to grow the Company’s market-leading Afirma franchise in the Southeast. Successful candidates will have established competencies in sales coaching, motivating individual performance, the fundamentals of territory planning and strategy, critical thinking and evaluation of sales metrics, and strong verbal and written communication skills. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but limited to:

  • One-on-one coaching of sales professionals on product messaging, pre-call planning, territory routing, account strategy, time management, and account pull-through activities
  • Quarterly territory planning and regular one-on-one territory performance review consistent with our corporate selling direction
  • In-field support of the sales professionals through joint customer calls and field coaching
  • Quarterly completion of field contact reports for each sales professional
  • Prioritize the field activities of marketing and medical resources to best support the region
  • Coordinate and lead effective participation in regional conferences that drive new customer opportunities
  • Provide sales input and representation on marketing product lifecycle teams
  • Provide leadership to the Region by modeling the Veracyte values
  • Reinforce positive behaviors and sales tactics utilizing SFDC and Tableau
  • Retain and motivate top sales talent
  • Recruit sales professionals as territories are added or positions become available.
  • Onboard new sales professionals in collaboration with our training team.
  • Compliance and Quality: Ensuring the sales team is compliant with all Veracyte policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Who You Are:
  • As a people manager, you have a track record of inspiring high performing teams of experienced sales professionals. You have extensive experience coaching sales professionals, particularly in the area of clinically selling and territory management.
  • You have at least 10 years of related experience in a fast paced, results-oriented, rapidly growing company in the life sciences, medical technology or diagnostics.
  • You have at least 3 years of previous management experience in healthcare sales; preferably medical diagnostics or devices.
  • Success in this role demands a deep understanding of the space, strong clinical acumen, and the ability to navigate complex healthcare systems while fostering trusted, value-driven relationships with physicians. The call-points include endocrinology, endocrine surgery, ENT, Radiology and pathology. 
  • Preferred residence within the region and the ability to travel 50-75% is required.



The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience, skillset, geographic location, industry, education, etc. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
