As we continue to expand our cloud and enterprise business globally, we are looking for a Regional Sales Engineer, Mid-Atlantic to partner with customers, solve complex cybersecurity challenges, and help organizations secure and scale their hybrid cloud environments with AlgoSec.

Reporting To: Regional Sales Engineer Director

Location: Mid-Atlantic (DC, DE, MD, VA, WVA)

What You’ll Do

  • Drive regional growth by achieving/exceeding quarterly and annual product and service sales goals.
  • Communicate effectively across all levels of customer organizations, from executives to technical teams.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to customer security, operations, and infrastructure teams throughout the customer lifecycle.
  • Deliver engaging product demonstrations that highlight how AlgoSec solutions support customer business goals and showcase advantages over competing solutions.
  • Educate customers, partners, and resellers on AlgoSec platform capabilities, business flow, and technical positioning.
  • Identify and qualify opportunities while supporting technical presales activities from initial identification to closure.
  • Maintain post-sales customer relationships and drive expansion of AlgoSec product install base within existing accounts.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams including Sales, Product, Professional Services, and Support teams to drive customer success.
  • Own and execute proof of concept test plans with prospects.
Requirements

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field / technical certification, with 5–7 years of customer-facing Presales Engineering experience.
  • Experience contributing to sales strategies, managing individual sales activities, and collaborating effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience working with enterprise accounts and channel partners sales required.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with a proactive, customer-focused mindset.
  • Understanding of security architecture fundamentals, including authentication, authorization, network security, and compliance standards.
  • Working engineering knowledge of cloud, SDN, networking, routing, and security technologies across AWS, Azure, GCP, NSGs, VPCs, Cisco IOS/Nexus, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Juniper, and related platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with APIs, automation frameworks, or DevOps tools.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and technical growth.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in a security SaaS solution organization.

A reasonable estimate of the OTE for this role at the time of posting is $180,000 - $240,000. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, location, training, and certifications. Candidates whose requirements fall outside this range are still encouraged to apply.
