The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

3M's Electrical Markets Division is currently seeking an experienced candidate with strong leadership and interpersonal skills for the position of Southeast Regional Sales Manager for the US market.  For this position, the candidate must have a proven track record of personal sales success including experience working with key accounts. Candidates should be able be to identify, define, and secure winning business opportunities to meet sales and growth objectives within their region.

As Southeast Regional Sales Manager, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Achieve or exceed sales operating plans and accountable for sales pipeline and identified growth opportunities.
  • Opportunity to manage a $100M+ territory.
  • Direct a 3M sales team and manage business growth plans for all 3M portfolios sold into identified territory to achieve sales goals.
  • Provide supervision of 3M employees including objective setting, performance management, motivation, as well as training and coaching.
  • Approve assigned programs and budgets and manage overall resources to meet business objectives.
  • Provide leadership in developing and enhancing 3M's relationships at all levels of key accounts and other assigned customers.
  • Provide regular updates on sales progress and market status to EMD's National Sales Manager.
  • Create solutions for difficult problems and sales opportunities which require creativity, innovation and strong analytical skills.
  • Shares vision and demonstrates company values.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Five (5) years of experience in Marketing, Sales Management, or Field Sales in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Marketing, and/or Sales field
  • MBA
  • Strong Analytical skill sets.
  • Experience in managing people.
  • Strong Team building and cross functional skills.
  • Excellent leadership skill sets, attention to detail, and overall business acumen.
  • Experience in calling on key accounts.
  • Demonstrated experience of effective negotiation skills and strategic planning

Work location: Remote

Southeast Region

 

Travel: May include up to 50% domestic/international

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
