The Regional Sales Manager will be dedicated to working in the Northeast region of the United States focusing on the implementation of regional sales strategies, setting targets, analyzing sales data, and managing key internal and external relationships to drive revenue growth. The relationships have a broad range primarily focused on customers, distributors, contracted agents,
engineering, product management, sales, and administrative support to further the sale and installation of Marmon Utility power cable, insulators, and aerial cable systems & services.

Responsible for all Professional Accounts (e.g., Food Service) sales activities and results at the first (top) geographic split below the national level. Typically found in the consumer products industry. Develops sales plans and budgets for achieving sales goals.

Essential Job Functions

  • Develop business relationships and trust in coordination with our rep partners.
  • Travel with our rep partners to support sales efforts and develop new customer opportunities.
  • Fully support the sales effort through value presentations for new opportunities, as well as following up and developing existing customer base.
  • Provide product differentiation to the customer to protect and grow our market niche.
  • Coordinate and manage customer project needs and expectations
  • Provide input and actively assist engineering, product management, manufacturing, QA, and upper management to innovate product design and to formulate effective implementation of underground and overhead products and services.
  • Develop opportunity growth for applications not utilized within the utility.
  • Assist in the strategic planning, implementation and purchasing planning with the various utility departments.
  • Coordinate with Field Services for effective project implementation
  • Increase sales volume and revenue for Underground and Overhead systems and products
  • Image and brand promotion of all Marmon Utility products
  • Identify, quantify, and focus on value selling to new and existing accounts.
  • Gather voice of customer (VOC) and relay market trends to assist with new product or product improvement ideas

Pay Range

  • $130k - $150k Annual base salary
  • Bonus Eligible

Education and Skills

  • Business or Engineering degree (desired)
  • 10 plus years of Utility operations/sales/marketing experience
  • Articulate and effective in presenting to customers at all levels of an organization
  • Technical knowledge of electrical utilities and transmission distribution systems (Essential)
  • Meeting sales goals, selling to customer’s needs, sales planning, building relationships, ability to communicate at all levels of an organization.

Pay Range:

100,000.00 - 150,000.00
