Scope of Work:

Develop prospects and call on existing customers for WPI's complete product lines, service and parts.  Must maintain existing accounts & develop new accounts.  Call on assigned accounts in all locations in the region.


Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain customer contact on a regular basis
  • Strive to elevate customer contacts and relationships to higher decision-making levels
  • Participate as a member of selected customer account teams and proactively provide input/support to the Account Team Leader and other team members
  • Fully Participate in the development of customer quotes
  • Make sure customer is receiving goods and service in a timely fashion
  • Maintain close communications with customers, Regional Manager, Branch Manager and account teams
  • Identify and report decision makers to account teams
  • Maintain sufficient knowledge of entire WPI product/service offering to ensure high probability that opportunities are identified and secured and/or opportunities are passed on to the appropriate WPI team member, or Regional Manager
  • Report all sales leads to Regional Manager and account teams
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have 2 years previous experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, or a Bachelor’s Degree in applied discipline preferred
  • Sales experience in natural gas engine/compressor field preferred


Requirements: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Must have a working knowledge of the above titled position and how it relates to the overall business and its’ objectives
  • Must meet goals and objectives set forth by the company
  • Must conform to policies and procedures set forth by the company
  • Must have a current driver’s license and proof of insurance
  • Must be a self-starter and highly motivated
  • Must be computer literate, a Window's based environment preferred (MSWord, Excel, Power Point and Outlook)
  • Must be dependable and work independent
  • Must maintain good customer relations
  • Must have the ability to travel and stay overnight
  • Must protect the company assets and interest.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

  • Typical hours of work Monday through Friday; 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
