Territory: Northern Florida (Tampa, Orlando)

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The Regional Vice President drives sales across the available product lineup with advisors in bank and broker dealer firms, including responsibility for working closely with sales leadership to leverage appropriate business plans to maximize sales and exceed territory sales goals. The incumbent works with advisors to educate them on our products, support their business initiatives, and enhance our brand visibility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Relationship Management/Networking: Pursues and cultivates business relationships, partnerships, and alliances internally, externally, and virtually.
  • Leverages internal and external networks to achieve professional and organizational goals, share information, offer advice, maintain competitive advantage or provide benchmarking.
  • Customer and Firm Knowledge: Applies knowledge of each Advisor’s practice and firm to develop and provide optimal strategies.
  • Uses advisor and firm intelligence to pivot, cross-sell, and open new opportunities for Eagle strategies and products.
  • Identifies and executes opportunities to use Eagle strategies to help advisors and firms grow their business.
  • Leverages knowledge of products to meet client needs; uses product expertise to differentiate Eagle Offerings.
  • Maintains a thorough working knowledge of Eagle products, strategies, systems, processes, and technologies.
  • Applies product expertise to efficiently win and effectively execute opportunities.
  • Manages time and productivity, creates operating efficiencies, leverages existing systems.
  • Functions as the leader of the territory and manages resources accordingly and effectively.
  • Uses Eagle tools, systems, and processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Generates robust demand, executes long-range sales plans, and forecasts accurately.
  • Uses a systematic approach to develop long-range, strategic plans for accomplishing sales goals.
  • Effectively prioritizes opportunities and sales resources based on data and strategic account strategies.
  • Prospects consistently, uses an outcomes-based sales process, maintains sales velocity.
  • Consistently expands the producer base by engaging both new and lost producers.
  • Ensures consistent movement of opportunities through the sales process as measured by advisor commitments.
  • Increase sales through field activity (and virtual) such as face-to-face meetings, client seminars, training meetings, point-of-sales, and continuing education.
  • Performs other related work as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Direct Reports: 0

General Description of Indirect Reports (2 and 3-downs): 0

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or six (6) years of related experience in sales and/or wholesaling; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

A minimum of two years of external annuity wholesaling experience preferred (Eagle Life also has a proven track record of success with internal wholesalers.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, PROFESSIONAL DESIGNATIONS:

Life & Health, FINRA 6 and/or 7 with 63 licenses preferred. Other professional designations encouraged.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong and above average customer service orientation.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong relationship building and maintaining skills.
  • Mathematical skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and successfully with employees, customers, and other outside third parties.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Proficient in the use of MicroSoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to successfully handle pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Requires an ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
