Sword Health is seeking a Regional Vice President, Public Sector to accelerate growth across public sector organizations with 1,000–10,000 employees.
As Sword expands rapidly in public sector, this individual will own a mid-market territory and will be responsible for sourcing, developing, and closing new business within state and local government, public higher education, K-12 districts, and quasi-public entities.
This is a quota-carrying, individual-contributor role requiring strong public-sector expertise, comfort with multi-stakeholder buying groups, and the ability to navigate complex procurement and contracting cycles. The RVP will help organizations achieve meaningful cost savings while delivering measurable clinical outcomes and ROI through Sword’s digital MSK and Care solutions.
What you'll be doing:
- Building and executing a comprehensive territory plan focused on 5K–10K employee public sector organizations
- Developing pipeline through outbound prospecting, partnerships, inbound leads, and industry events
- Leading discovery, value articulation, product positioning, and ROI-focused selling
- Navigating multi-stakeholder buying groups (Benefits, HR, Finance, Procurement, Executive Sponsors)
- Managing RFP processes, contracting mechanisms, cooperative purchasing vehicles, and legal negotiations
- Autonomously driving deals from initial contact through close
- Ensuring smooth handoff to implementation teams for successful customer onboarding
- Representing Sword Health at public sector conferences, trade shows, and thought leadership events

What you need to have:
- 5+ years of direct public sector sales experience
- Proven track record selling to mid-market public sector organizations
- Expertise in healthcare, benefits, self-insured employers, digital health, MSK, or disease management
- Understanding of public sector procurement cycles and contracting vehicles
- Demonstrated success closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals
- Willingness to travel up to 50%
- Startup or high-growth point-solution experience is a plus
