Under general supervision, assists in developing, implementing, and maintaining procedures and programs designed to ensure compliance with existing U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) regulations.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Performs well defined Regulatory duties that are designed to provide development and familiarization with the regulatory procedures, practices, standards and processes
  • Assists in the coordination of changes to Licensing Basis documents. Research specific documents to support change evaluations. Assists in preparing the documentation for Application changes and license amendment requests packages
  • Tracks regulatory-related issues, actions, and subtasks utilizing the web-based corrective actions tracking system
  • Drafts, processes, stores, and retrieves regulatory correspondence utilizing the electronic data management system
  • Assists in the coordination of DOE and NRC inspection activities. Coordinates responses to Inspectors’ requests for information and processes Inspectors’ reports
  • Administers configuration management process for changes to the License Application and other License Basis documents. Research questions concerning application of regulatory requirements
  • Gathers and tabulates information relative to regulatory concerns, questions or initiatives
  • Interfaces as required with vendors, in-house project personnel, company employees, or other project support personnel to support licensing and compliance activities. Assists project personnel in implementing License Application requirements
  • May input commitments into the corrective action tracking system and perform searches within the document control system or the corrective actions tracking system
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned by management
     

We'd Love to Hear from Candidates With:

  • Associate’s degree in a technical or engineering field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1+ years of experience working in a NRC/DOE/Military environment or in other relevant industry
  • Requires proficient computer skills, such as but not limited to, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Adobe to process records and generate reports, charts, spreadsheets, and presentations
  • Must possess or have the ability to obtain and maintain a “Q” Clearance 
     

A Successful Candidate Brings:

  • Experience at NRC regulated site 
  • Experience in a regulatory organization 
  • Experience in change control and configuration management
  • Experience with a corrective actions program
  • Active “Q” or Top Secret security clearance

This position will require a pre­-employment background check and a pre-employment drug test.

This position requires the successful candidate to obtain and maintain a Q security clearance. Candidates for positions requiring a security clearance are required to be tested for the absence of any illegal drug as defined in 10 CFR 707.4 prior to an offer of employment being made.  In addition, once employe, employees will become part of a random drug testing program and may also be tested in the event of any incident causing injury or causing damage to property, or if it is determined that there is a reasonable suspicion the employee is under the influence of drugs or alcohol.  This position will require preemployment background check on the part of the Company and in order to receive a Q security clearance, a background investigation by the Federal government.  Subsequent Federal government reinvestigations may be required.
