About the Role

Aligna Bookkeeping Solutions is seeking an experienced remote bookkeeper to support our US-based clients with comprehensive bookkeeping, payroll, and tax preparation services.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of bookkeeping experience with US-based businesses

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online

  • Strong understanding of US payroll processing and tax compliance

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage client accounts

  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently

  • Reliable internet connection and professional home office setup

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records and perform monthly account reconciliations

  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries

  • Process payroll, calculate withholdings, and ensure payroll tax compliance

  • Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)

  • Track deductible expenses and prepare 1099 forms for contractors

  • Organize tax-ready documentation and support year-end reporting

  • Communicate effectively with clients and respond to inquiries promptly
