The Award Winning Speech Momi LLC, a staple in the therapeutic community, is growing its online Remote Neurology team.
Under the direction and supervision of Speech Momi's Director, the Licensed Neurologist assists in supplementing, enhancing, and extending health therapy services by completing a variety of tasks such as, but not limited to, remote wellness checks, comprehensive medical assessments, ordering labs, diagnosing disorders/diseases of the brain/spinal cord/peripheral nerves, formulating treatment plans, obtaining specialists' consultations, and providing general medical care to various patient levels using face-to-face synchronous video communications. Clinical practical experience in following areas is desirable: electroencephalogram (EEG), computed tomography (CT), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), stroke, dementia, seizure, Multiple Sclerosis, autoimmune disorders and Parkinson’s disease
Duties and Responsibilities:
Conducts health screenings, using screening protocols developed by the supervising Director;
Provides direct assistance for wound care, medication management and wellness enhancement to children and adults;
Follows and implements documented treatment plans while monitoring client progress;
Assists other multidisciplinary teams during the peak of client reviews and intakes/assessments;
Adapts or modifies instructional materials as determined by the targeted treatment objectives;
Assists in maintaining client records, tallying data, preparing charts, records, graphs, and reports;
Assists in sharing online multidisciplinary input with requesting families and medical practitioners;
Attends online clinical team meetings on an as needed basis
Education and Experience:
Degree from an Accredited Medical program
Licenses and Certificates:
Current registration with a Board of Medicine, such as ABPN
Knowledge of:
Neurological care, equipment, materials, and procedures;
Start of care, discharging and treatment planning;
Learning patterns in both children and adults;
Behavior management techniques and strategies;
Routine record keeping.
