We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Associate Renewal Account Managerto support retention efforts across our existing customer base. In this entry-level sales role, you will manage high-volume renewal transactions within a defined portfolio of lower-complexity accounts, ensuring a smooth and positive customer experience throughout the renewal cycle.
About the team
The Renewal team is a key part of Rapid7's Sales organization, focused on driving customer retention and long-term value. They manage a high volume of renewals through proactive outreach, strong pipeline discipline, and clear processes. Partnering closely with Account Executives and Customer Success, we ensure a seamless renewal experience.
About the role
As an Associate Renewal Account Manager, your primary responsibility will be to support on-time renewals within your assigned portfolio of lower-complexity accounts. Specifically, you will:
  • Manage high-volume renewal transactions using established processes and playbook
  • Proactively engage customers to confirm renewal timelines and intent
  • Partner with Account Executives, Customer Success, and Channel teams to support a smooth renewal experience
  • Identify potential risks and escalate when needed to protect retention
  • Surface upsell or cross-sell signals and collaborate with Sales on next steps
  • Maintain accurate customer records, pipeline updates, and forecasts in SFDC and Clari
  • Track renewal activity and performance metrics to ensure strong pipeline hygiene
  • Support renewal conversations by clearly communicating contract details and value
  • Ensure all renewal activities follow internal policies and compliance guidelines

The skills and qualities you'll bring include
  • Foundational understanding of the SaaS sales cycle, including the role and importance of renewals in driving customer retention and revenue growth.
  • Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce (SFDC) to manage customer information and pipeline
  • Comfort maintaining forecasts and updating opportunities in tools such as Clari
  • Experience supporting or participating in pricing and contract discussions
  • Demonstrated ability to take full ownership of multiple accounts, managing priorities effectively to deliver results within deadlines.
  • Ability to review customer data and identify potential renewal risks or growth signals
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams including Sales and Customer Success
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to take initiative and solve problems
  • Ability to learn and confidently explain technical concepts at a high level
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional customer-facing approach
